Appearance

Physical Description

Muscular, even toned build; muscles strain against fabric at biceps and pecs if he doesn’t get things tailored specifically, especially after losing his arm. Has a bad habit of slouching, tries correcting it with corseted vests.

Body Features

Coworker once described his build as follows, “dorito built through the torso”, while another described him as ”Chris Evans but with a better ass”. Recently missing his left arm due to an accident at work. No other notable scars on his body.

Facial Features

Striking, ice blue eyes that are almost white, gold ring around the iris. Unfairly long lashes.
Man has a charmingly captivating face; almost symmetrical, even features that just radiate light when he smiles. Features are sharp where they need to be, soft on others like a sculpture carved to look approachable, friendly.
Strong jawline. Jaw looks sharper if he’s sporting a short beard, which while he’s getting used to his new prosthetic arm is his usual.
Maybe he’s born with it, it’s not Maybelline. Have you ever seen a man so pretty you cry? Well, Rend would offer you a handkerchief to make up for making you tear up.

Identifying Characteristics

His skin is tan, golden shimmer when in direct light. 
The man's long golden blonde hair; looks like sunlight was trapped in the strands, straight, hair stops just above the hips. Wears lots of braids and updos, but doesn’t mind letting his hair down. Mentioned he makes hair commercial makers sad because he won’t say yes to modeling for them.

Apparel & Accessories

Rend is usually found in dress clothing that compliment his black and gold aesthetic. Black fitted button down shirts with, "enough of a tiddy window to keep the straights guessing their sexuality". Likes to wear vests to add some color and patterns to his wardrobe with his matching black or grey slacks. Normally found in his cop uniform until recently when he moved to forensics. Still gears up if going to crime scenes or on patrol.
 
Has his septum pierced. Loves to wear gold jewelry that match his gages. Most of the time he wears a sensible pair of boots.Gold jewelry, watches, and a good leather belt do wonders for a look, not usually trying to blend in.
 
Recently had a black titanium prosthetic made for his left arm and predictably it has gold detailing. Had it enchanted to work more like a regular limb since he’s a swordsman, but it has some hidden compartments. Since he’s around Blythe, perhaps he’ll use it to hold poisons, maybe a small flare, hidden blade? It is still empty since he can’t make up his mind and is still, “getting used to the damn thing”.

Education

Rend studied abroad in the Netherlands for a few years in his youth at a private institution. Graduated from grade school by the age of fourteen. Began unofficially studying at Stanford in his free time where his father taught as a professor of Demonology studies. Still did the homework and went to a tutor instead of just asking his father, so the school ended up giving the credits to him and offered him a scholarship when he got a bit older.
 
Studied at Stanford on a full ride scholarship. He played as the youngest quarterback in Stanford history until he broke his left arm in a car accident and returned his focus back to his studies. Graduated from Stanford with his bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a minor in Demonology; continued studies abroad at Keele University to get his masters in forensic science; majored in biology, minored in chemistry. Went to The Washington State Criminal Justice Center to become a cop to switch things up before winding up in Dead end.

Vices & Personality flaws

Rend has been known to be an overachiever and bit of a know it all. He does try to tone it down, but sometimes excitement gets the better of him. Has stated he's just grateful he isn't OCD.

Hygiene

Man has impeccable hygiene. Isn't a stranger to mud and grime, however, since he loves being outdoors, but reported, "a good shower or bath, freshly brushed teeth, and fresh clothing from the dryer doesn't hurt anyone".
