Hotspur was born in a small woodland village and had a happy childhood until in his early adolescence tragedy struck. A group of careless humans on a hunting expedition accidentally burned the village down leaving Hotspur without a family and homeless. He eventually found a new family and home on the open seas. He flourished aboard his new ship which flew under it's own flag as a pirate ship. There were no shortage of bar fights and gambling debts which led him to eventually seek to harness his wild nature and seek shelter in a monastery.
