Dr. William Fawkes obtained his education in the arcane arts at the University of Dragonmail. His work during that time earned him an invitation to the city Nodro where he currently conducts his research.

Born in Candlekeeper's Reach, William Fawkes moved to the capital of Romad -- Dragonmail Castle -- where he studied the arcane arts at Dragonmail University. He wrote his master's thesis on The Physical Manifestations of Arcane Spells. Frustrated by constantly losing his quill and the unfathomable amount of ink he used while working on his master's degree, William went on to write his doctorate dissertation on The Use of Arcane Sigils in the Modification and Enhancement of the Physical. The dissertation included a complete account of William's enhancement of a quill -- the new sigils of William's own design allow the quill to be summoned by its owner so as to never be lost, never run dry, and write in any color.
 
Following his defense, William received a letter inviting him to conduct research in the city-state of Nodro, a hub of knowledge that provides funding to many great researchers. It was an opportunity that William could not let pass.
