Personal history
Thea grew up in Seasrest, Abaddon, where her parents managed a small, single boat pearl farming business. As a child she would help her mother clean and polish the pearls her father brought home, and when older joined him on the boats. They did fairly well for themselves, and had a modest lifestyle.
After Thea's human mother died, her father sold the rights to their small pearl farming area, the boat and house and moved to Abaddon's Rest. There, he set up a small shop selling general goods, and later magic components sourced from the area, specialising in pearls from Seasrest for Identify and other spells.
Several decades later, Thea left Abaddon's Rest, joining a caravan heading to Lunasridge. For next seven years, she worked as a mercenary, a caravan guard, following the caravan routes. After that she joined an adventuring group at the request of a friend, which started her adventuring career.
When she met The Company, she was looking for a mercenary or short term job, having recently left her previous adventuring group over personal differences. (The personal differences were over whether threatening a traveling merchant into a discount was ethical or not) At the time, she was hoping for a short term job, however she's decided to remain with The Company for now, after the events of the past few months.
During her first meeting with The Company, she was open about the fact she is a warlock, specialising in martial and magical combat. When asked for further details, she said that she asked for power in order to help other people, but didn't elaborate further. So far, the others haven't asked for further information, and she hasn't said anything further.
Education
Thea attended a school in Seasrest and then later Abaddon's Rest, but other than that has no formal schooling.
She was also trained by the city guard in Seasrest in basic weapon fighting at the request of her father, and then later on by practised with other caravan escorts when they stopped in Abaddon's Rest.
