Droop seems to be the runt of the litter, as he is too cowardly and incompetent to accomplish anything of value. He was given the ambassador role by the cragmaws, but this did not earn him any respect as the bullying by the bugbears proved. However, like any good pathetic creature, he does know a lot of vital information if only because he was trusted to never betray his master out of cowardice.
The party allowed Droop a Major item from the Destiny button, which caused him to turn into a xvart. Besides turning blue and balding, Droop is actually useful now in combat.
Later on, after many trials and tribulations, Droop gain a level in fighter. he's a lot less fearful nowadays.
