12/1/23 The looped clearing and people that watched us look stupid

We opened the letter we weren’t supposed to…
But we need to go see the Arch-sovereigns (Federal government made up of a bunch of dragons) which are in Val Loras, about a week distance from where we are on horseback.
 
We get a map for the north half of the Efren.
(Not below the squiggly forest)
Graham makes a lot of poison jars and acid and 21 cookies.
 
We make it to Val Loras but we get stuck in a repeating a clearing and we keep looping in it.
The trees and bushes look like they are copy/paste. Graham uses his big brain and dispels the magic around us. The copy-paste trees and bushes turn into a bunch of fancy looking people. A lady approaches us and she says it seems we have worked past their illusion and this was all test basically.
 
They say they are the emissary to the government of dragons and we have to go through them to deliver the letter and that the dragons don’t have a conference room that we can go to. They all have separate lairs (NOT A CAVE) but we can’t get to them/aren’t allowed…We are still pretty weary because we were told we HAD to deliver the letter (that we weren’t suppose to read) to the
Arch-sovereigns. SO we come to a compromise and tell them we will just all walk together!
 
They say we are allowed to follow them to one of dragons, but not enter his lair (NOT CAVE) and if he decides to show himself to us it’s up to him. We take our horses with us.
 
We do not approach the lair.
