Izō would spend his time playing with neighboring kids or practicing being a mighty warrior with a bamboo stick, hitting trees and rocks pretending to be a hero. Late one night his parents were taking longer then usual to come home one night, Izō curious, goes looking for them, calling out their names and sobbing. Izō spent the entire night looking for them and ended up sleeping under a over hanging leaf in the mud. When he awoke, he was greeted by a tall man wearing a long blue robe, with a sword wrapped around his waist and his face shrouded by the shadow given off by his straw hat. The man knelt down in front of him, letting out his hand and told him to come with him. Izō with no where to go, obliged and was taken in by this mysterious man. The man gave him a place to sleep and food to eat, but was forced to train whenever he wasn't eating or sleeping. From sunrise to sunset Izō would train to fight and protect himself, doing absurd tasks given by the family. Izō felt happy that he had a place to live but ever since he lost his parents he has not said a word to anyone. Anytime he was given a task he would perform and execute without question, without a word. The family took notice after some time and told him to take what he learned and show his worth by killing a rival family member. Izō did so without question and came back with a head in a sack and placed it at the feet of the man. After this the man laid his hand on his shoulder and smiled, he was elevated to samurai status despite the traditional samurai disdain towards peasants. He became what he wanted to be, to make his parents proud, he continued to work and carry out tasks to bring honor to himself and the loved ones he lost. Some time later Izō overheard the man speak about the night he found him and was shocked to hear that his parents were killed by the same family that brought him in because they failed to pay them their "protection fees" and murdered them.Izō full of rage, goes throughout the house and murders the entire family one by one, blood dripping from his face, his hands. After, the house becomes silent, he drops to his knees and sits with his eyes closed, tears falling off his cheeks, regretting what he did. He remained sitting until the sun came up and the last words his spoke were " I am done ". Izō Okada, went on to be a traveler, taking on bounties for money along his path, hoping to find a new place he can call home.
