Personal history
Jericho Stonescale, First Paladin of The Moss had an interesting upbringing. Kobolds living fairly short life cycles don't tend to take care of their young. Instead migrating from food source to food source his clutch of 8 brothers and sisters were left buried in a warm patch of sand in a cave with a pool of seemingly endless fish. Hatching from his shell he found the world to be a curious and interesting place. Him and his clutch spent their first few months catching the fish in the pool of the cave off of Bloodwave bay until there were no more. Hunger ate at him and his siblings so they went in search of other prey outside of the cave. Through the gentle waves they combed the beach looking for any shellfish or little morsels that watched up upon the sand. They live like this a little while longer pulling valuables from the sea and diving into the shallows to grab what they could to trade with the travelling ships that passed by. After some years had passed they ran out of items to trade ever diving deeper into the depths and the hunger gnawed at them. It ate away whatever good years had made them strong. The lack of food caused his siblings to take risk and dive deeper and deeper looking for anything... Some didnt return from the depths. He himself grew so hungry that his vision grew cloudy and his sense dulled. If he could find anything he would have to follow those that were claimed by Kaheeli. So he waded into the water pushing himself with all of his strength he dived deeper than he thought he could. It was there he saw a ship with a chest of a strange green glow, this chest called to him. It pushed him towards it and he pushed himself towards the chest grabbing it and hoisting it up then turned to swim back but his strength was spent. He couldn't fight the currents and tides anymore they pushed him down and pulled him as he grasp for water trying to pull himself towards the surface to no avail. Slowly his already cloudy vision had failed and he let the currents take him.
He awoke on an unknown shore coughing up seawater and feeling the pit of his stomach ache after each breath. Small crabs were crawling on him hoping for an easy meal. They became one themselves and he started to turn over and found the chest still on his person. Lucky he thought as made his way deeper into shore. He pushed a bit into the beach and examined it, locked. Breaking the lock with the first heavy rock he found proved easy inside of the chest a book covered in moss. Jericho didn't know much about reading or writing and as such he took the book and the chest to the first road he could find to get a trader to buy it. The chest bought for a paltry sum but enough to pay for meals the book didn't hold much value as the residents of Bloodwave seldom enjoyed reading nor found the time. So he took the book and set about to reading it, not much of reader himself it took a lot of time and effort. The knowledge he found inside the book made him push his clutch away from their homes on the beaches to a more lush place. There he he taught them of the moss and showed them all of its applications and suddenly the remnants of his brethren were thriving. No longer slave to the changing tides they found solace and happiness in their mossy abodes. It was in these times of happiness that he trained to be a paladin and set out to search for the author of the book of the moss.
