Personal history

I am the offspring of a High elf (my father) and some unknown elf woman (a Pallid elf) that I don’t remember anything about. From what I learned, she left me with my father shortly after my birth. I can’t say I understand why and to be honest, I probably resent her for it.
 
As I was saying, I was raised by my father, among High elves. From the start, I was not a “good” High elf. My interests in different weapons (namely the blowgun and rapier my mother left behind) and my choice of career was not approved among my kin, as they were not “standard”. They were seen as a “hobby” and I was often seen as too headstrong or opinionated to fit in their society. The moment I became an adult, I packed my bags and left without regrets.
 
I do not easily make friends. As a matter of fact, people think I am aloof and possibly haughty. I guess I did learn something from High elves after all! The truth is, I just do not trust people and I like to keep a safe distance, physically and emotionally.
I picked up a vice, from spending too much time among humans. I try to get rid of the habit, but smoking calms my nerves, especially when a case involves children.
 
I got into the habit of wearing fine clothing, not because I am a vain person, but because I have learned that appearances are very important, especially when you try to convince someone to hire you or to make them think you are a very important person.

Necar picked up a vice, from spending too much time among humans. She tries to get rid of the habit, but smoking calms her nerves, especially when a case involves children.

Personality Quirks

Necar will often insist on entering the crime scene first, whenever possible, of course. This allows her to take in as much information as possible from observation, before the scene gets tampered with. She will sometimes be found in a room, all quiet, unmoving, her eyes darting back and forth, observing anything, everything. Seeing her like that, people would assume that she is distracted, but she is actually keenly aware of her surroundings. Necar is also known to speak fast, but not often. She also does not seem to enjoy humour.

Hygiene

Necar might seem to lack hygiene, as she does not often take a bath, but she compensates by being a strong advocate for the use of prestidigitation. As it is, she uses it so often that one could say it’s her favourite cantrip. Because of it, her body, hair and clothing always appear immaculate. She favours the smell of lavender, which she uses to replace the smell of her own tobacco.
