Physical Description

Ickis seems non-threatening at a glance, however, a closer inspection will reveal a kobold who has hardened oneself to survive the toughest of upbringings. He has a orange tone skin with ivory horns adorned his head like a crown.

Body Features

Scrawny, thin, short and sweet, with a tail half his height Ickis is easily overlooked.

Facial Features

Ickis usually has an expression of ignorant bliss across his face. This is because most of the time he is lost in his own thoughts. He has mastered the 'sit and look pretty' concept.

Identifying Characteristics

Ickis holds dear his only outfit. Gifted to him by his beloved Tikka, the black styled cloak with turquoise trim and adorned with orange shoulder pads matched nicely with his skin tone. Any and all damage to the cloak has been repaired immediately, sometimes in the midst of combat.

Physical quirks

Ickis loves nature and is angered by those who disregard it's beauty.

Ickis can be seen with a chipped and rusty sickle at his side and a vial of swirling sand.

Mentality

Personal history

I was born to the Shadowclaw tribe located near Loch Dubh and west of Brockwood. I was a natural at scavenging food and scraps for building and while I was gathering berries, a group of adventurers came by my clan's cave and liberated it in the name of justice. You can ask me about it. When I was 22 months old, I came back with 3 giants sacks of berries to witness my father's head rolling out of the cave with 3 elves laughing and chatting in a language I did not understand.
 
What I did understand was he offered berries in exchange for my life, and I was able to spend the next 2 months cleaning the cave and making it into my home. 'No hard feelings' I would tell myself, 'but don't trust elves'.
 
During one of my ventures out for supplies, I came across a battle scene. A caravan had been ambushed by goblins and it looked like the lone survivor of the group was a young elf girl. On the verge of death and without a will to go on, she did not strike out at Ickis as I approached.
 
Tikka, a wood elf of age 13, would awaken 3 days later, still on the verge of death, in the cave that I claimed. A montage and 13 months later, I has found his calling in life. My master, Tikka, tells me what needs to be done, and if I do it, I get a reward! Sometimes it's a head scratch, other times it is a nice warm meal. Truth be told, I do not care what the reward is, only that Tikka is happy with my performance.
 
 
 
We would go to town here and there for supplies and to trade. Word would spread of the young elf druid and her pet kobold and their adventures together.
 
 
Not all who heard this tale took it kindly.
 
 
*****Session 0-1 happens during this time. The group will meet Tikka at the festival. It will be the last time the group meets her. Perhaps the group comes across her killers/abductors at the festival without realizing it?*****
 
 
 
 
 
When Ickis was 4 years and 3 months old, he was celebrating his 'year anniversary', as Tikka put it, with his master. The events of that day would be forever burned into his mind.
 
By the end of the day, 2 humans, a dwarf, a halfing and an elf had forced their way into Ickis' cave and decided to 'save' Tikka from Ickis. Ickis was confused and Tikka was very adamant that she wanted to stay, but that meant nothing to the men who wanted Tikka for their own. For while Ickis did not know of their intent, the men there were not there to save Tikka, they had much darker desires in mind.
 
While the men tried to dispose of me, the fighting escalated with Tikka's interference as she struggled to get free from the dwarf and halfing. I battled the elf and humans whilst Tikka cried, and one arrow strayed too far and Tikka... Tikka... Tikka was... silent... she was silent and warmth sprouted from her in a river of crimson. A shower of red washed over me as I was bashed in the head. My vision went from red to black as I crumbled to the floor.
 
When I awoke, I immediately scrambled to look for Tikka. All I could find was a river of blood that told me all I needed to know about her safety...
 
I guess they sure saved her from me......
 
Wandering aimlessly I would be drawn by the echoes of despair in my soul. I tried to drown myself in Harmony Lake. I say tried because that is when my fate was sealed. That's when I met him, Oris.
 
As I plummeted to the bottom of Harmony Lake, thoughts of Tikka lifting my spirit and the weight of the stones in my pockets weighing me down... he called out to me.
 
I don't know how to explain it. I should not be alive with how long I was under water. But Oris saw something in me. He tells me things I shouldn't be able to know or understand. But with his guidance I am able to excel at things I should know nothing about! He says he is made from the very earth we walk on and take for granted. I think Tikka would have liked him... she was always trying to give nature a voice.

Education

Ickis is not very bright and is very trusting and gullible. However once you break his trust, it is very hard to earn back.

Employment

Ickis is self employed to keep himself alive by almost any means necessary.

Failures & Embarrassments

The death and disappearance of Tikka R'hu will haunt him until he dies.

Mental Trauma

While Ickis witnessed the death of his parents, he doesn't actually have any thoughts or feelings towards it. Especially after years on his own with Tikka and doing whatever they could to survive.

Intellectual Characteristics

Ickis will do what he can to live a life Tikka would be proud for him to live. He thinks reckless destruction is pointless and nature is a beauty that should be left alone.

Morality & Philosophy

Elves are backstabbers.
Everyone else is cool. Everyone deserves the chance to prove themselves (even elves) and should be given the chance to do so. Hold judgements on people for the actions they take and can sleep at night with.
