Accomplishments & Achievements

David took pride in being one of the people of Norholt to help form it from a Principality into a Kingdom. Of this deed, he authored and wrote "The Victories of Norholt."

The book details the major accomplishments of Norholt within the Warhost from 1116 through to 1122, with a special focus on the year 1118. This was the year that High King Rudraigh tasked Norholt with the quest to prove itself as being worthy.

Of personal achievements, David prided himself highly on winning the heart and hand of Prioress Helena Ward, marrying her in Norscan lands in 1122.

Failures & Embarrassments

At the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth Yates, a slighted Elf and Protector of the lands of Norholt wrote a foul and impassioned curse to be delivered to David, condemning her rule. David, knowing full well of the crime, destroyed the curse in fire before presenting himself for punishment.

Mental Trauma

In 1117, David was sent to Maidens Head by Baron Alistair Yates, transported by Master Purnell of the Norholt Library. Upon arrival, David saw the realities of warfare for the first time in the carnage that had been visited upon the land, where once a castle had stood nothing remained but corpses, rubble, blood and worse.

Previously, he had venerated the ways of Creed including those of "the Glory of Slaughter," but this experience shook him to his core. He was determined to avoid such a loss of life in Albion happening again.

David also held true to his oaths of Knighthood, never to present his back to the enemy. Being ignorant of Spiritual Fear, he believed he had proven himself a coward fit only for death. It was only through the spiritual and emotional council of trusted and valued friends, and his future wife, that convinced him otherwise. David made it his mission to prove to the fighting folk of the Warhost that fear was nothing to be afraid of.

David never considered himself to be an intellectual but considered himself to be quite witty, he went to lengths to try and find non-violent resolutions to problems.

Morality & Philosophy

David was, at his heart, a conservative Noble who believed in the feudal system. He did not believe that a Peasant could not better themselves, only that it was a very difficult and rare thing to transpire.

He believed that most people were, in their hearts, Good and wished to do Good. However, the more enemies of Albion he met, the more this belief guttered in the winds of their evil deeds.
