Aimless, cold-hearted, open to change
Heroism is often used to describe altruistic fools who seek only glory for themselves and happen to do good in the process, however true heroism, embodied by Dacso, is turning from your past mistakes and choosing to do good regardless of the cost. Though the freedom of choice was often taken from him, when given choice Dacso chose bravery and compassion. A true Hero.

Personal History
Born to human parents in The Broken States, Dacso was blessed with the celestial touch. With his silver hair and golden eyes his parents knew of his blessing as soon as they laid eyes on him. Though for Dacso, this was never a blessing. He could never have a moment of privacy or silence, not even in his own thoughts, for his angelic guide was always listening and passing judgment. If that wasn’t enough, Aasimar were forced into the Crown’s order of paladins. Dacso was raised by them, never meeting his parents. He was barely a teenager when he took the Oath of the Crow. By the time he was a full-fledged Paladin he had already committed what people from the other kingdoms would consider atrocities many times over. He had killed people for stealing, adultery, heresy, and even for attempting to escape slavery… sometimes he wasn’t even given a reason, but his oath, his loyalty, was absolute.
He grew numb from the slaughter, but his spite for the king never did. His guardian seemed to grow ever more present over the years, he even feared that someday even his thoughts would no longer be his own. He hated this life, but knew what happened to oathbreakers, and catching them was so easy. The sudden dip in power could only be explained by the failure to uphold the tenets. Thankfully his oath only extended towards his words and actions, but not his thoughts.
Through a chance encounter, he manage to get the help he needed to escape his order and his angelic guide. Breaking his oath changed him in more ways than one. Some of his Aasimar features became twisted: his hair turned black and his irises light grey. More shockingly is what happened to his powers. They were lost, yes, but he wasn’t powerless for long. Almost immediately after losing them, the hole left behind started getting filled by something else. Something Dacso doesn’t quite understand, but that won’t stop him from using it.
