Sharp, pale features, almost like marble, with golden blond hair and bright green eyes.

Identifying Characteristics

Ears and teeth are both slightly pointed. In heroic ID, his left eye is a deep green emerald.

Apparel & Accessories

In heroic identity the Lord Magus wears a brief top and skirt, with braces, shin-guards, gold pectoral, and copious magical jewelry. Eyeliner and other 'Egyptian Nobleman' make-up is worn.
 
In his normal ID, he favors well-cut business casual clothing and suits - formal, but understated.

Mentality

Personal history

Born in the earliest eras of human history, when mankind battled against the likes of the Elder Worm for a place in the world, and scurried to escape from underfoot the gods, the Lord Magus served at the forefront of the struggle for order and good and justice throughout the primeval and Turakian ages. Strugging at the front lines of Illurian expansion until its fall at the hands of the Drakine. After taking part in the conflict to throw down the Dragon-Men, the last surviving Lord-Magus of the primeval era spent the following centuries as a semi-reclusive mentor, dilettant, and when needed, hero.

Education

Student of the Halls of Lost Memory in Zothique, Aspirant to the Spell-Weave Schools of Ye, Teaching in the Arcaneum of Illuria, as well as an extended apprenticeship under Archmage Calmir and the Mage-Smith Vorgan

Employment

Currently teaches Occult Studies and History of Magic at MCU under the name Stephen Vandaleur.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Fighting off the Elder Worm conquest of Ye, securing the Libraries of Zothique against destruction, rebuilding of Illuria, wars with the Drakine, aiding the battle against the Lord of the Graven Spear, present at the fall of both Kal-Turak and Takophanes at the end of the First Era. Inventor of many foundational spells, some of which survive into the modern era, though under different names.

Has revolutionized the history of magic curriculum at MCU, and has developed a reputation in the magical community under his secret ID as brilliant scholar, though a trivial magical talent.

Failures & Embarrassments

His greatest apprentice, Almaren, betrayed him, stripped much of his power, and left him in a Forlorn Encystment for 300 years in the Second Era. By the time he escaped, most of his holdings had fallen into ruins or been claimed, and he never fully rebuilt.

Has proven sufficiently clueless about modern society, technology, and culture so as to provide the basis for a series of memes, popular on the MCU Campus, including one film of him trying, and failing, to verbally activate an automatic door.

Mental Trauma

The impact of entire eras spent in a semi-solemnent dimensional prison has left him both aching for, and nearly incapable of, human contact and relation. Even before his imprisonment, he was unimaginably old, and that age has left him caring, but not in a hurry to grow to close to those who do not live long. He understands that all things change and all parts of the world pass away in time, but the fact that almost nothing of his world remains brings him occasional bouts of melancholia.

Intellectual Characteristics

Ferociously brilliant, deeply arrogant, burningly curious about *anything* he does not understand. Impatient with stupidity or incompetence among 'equals', and incredibly patient and accommodating with children, fools, and normal people.

Morality & Philosophy

His mentality is best described as an odd mix of 'Arrogant' and 'Generous'. He is a Mage, in a world of mundanes, a Hero, in a world of Normals. He really does feel himself to be better than those around him - but this expresses itself as a duty to protect the normal and the mundane from the threats they cannot oppose, or even understand.

He does not have faith in the divine - faith is belief in the absence of knowledge. He is painfully aware of the divine, its comings and goings, and its tendency to use mortals as playthings while looking to cosmic concepts and greater divinities beyond themselves. He himself is little concerned with afterlives - the point is to live a worthy life, and allow what comes after to care for itself.
