Barnabas is a middle-ranking member of the logging company. He is responsible for the region around Draughmere Village- the company have labelled this region as Draughmere Central. Barnabas is a broad-chested, plain-talking middle-aged man. His huge brown beard is beginning to show grey hairs. Having worked his way up the ladder, he has a practical outlook and is known to be a strict but fair manager. Barnabas has noticed the strange goings-on with the spiders in the forest and has sent a small group to Draughmere Village to beseech the Baron for support in dealing with the arachnid menace.
