To steal is to survive another day, it’s hard when you have nothing and those around you have everything… Learned from my brothers how to get away with stuff. I was better…. No one ever expects the tiny harengon in the cute sun dress to shoplift the good stuff… and I use it to my advantage.

I snuck into the circus on time. I pretended to be a carny coming back with supplies. I brought in a bunch of junk in a crate and left with much better lifted jewelry and a fancy make-kit…. But I lost my pink silk hair bow my brother gave me after I stole my first full purse… sad about that, as he ran into trouble soon after… I never saw him again.
