Keening and Bare Knuckles
We found the Lich Queen and her phylactery and triumphed, but the cost was almost too high. Petal and Starka fell during the confrontation. If Lanmin had done her job as the Cleric of the fucking party and healed when needed, Petal might not have died, period. Yes, in the end, Lanmin brought Petal and Starka back from death.
Once the Bitch Queen was gone, then I saw Petal's lifeless body, something in me broke. Greif, regret, anger, and fear that is what I felt. I left the chamber to the bottom of the stairwell we came up from and let my rock-hard mask fall. I wept for my dear friend, someone I consider a sister. I released all the feelings of Loss and Anger with a Keening Wail and struck the cold stone of the Bitch Queen's inner sanctum until my knuckles were bare. I collected myself and rejoined my family to find Petal's face returning with life. I made a silent covenant to never let that happen again if I could prevent it.
