In her attempts to establish the Miner’s Exchange as the closest thing the town has to a governing authority, she acts as more than a simple merchant. She is also a competitor with Harbin Wester and likes him even less than most. Halia is working slowly to win the seat to Townmaster in the next election, and might be a valuable patron to the characters.
 
With the removal of the Redcloaks, something she has been very happy to learn, she is bringing in mercenary guards to follow Keth Ravenwood's direction to protect the town in their place.
