GENERAL
Born in Bronzeville, Chicago to a hispanic father and a black american mother, Clementine was an active and quick witted girl. As a child she dreamed of going to space-- often climbing the roof of her childhood home and staring at the few stars visible through the smog.
After highschool she went to Business School in The University of Chicago and met her best friend Elliot Stone. Years later they started a company as advisors for political figures.
One night on her way home she gets abducted and drugged and next thing she knows she's waking up in a pit surrounded by dead bodies, with the roman number 7 tattoed on her neck and the faint memories of a man staring at her from above.
She is pulled out by Marcel who explains she's now a vampire and helps her through the first few days after. He instructs her to leave Chicago and stay in the outskirts until it's safe for her to return.
For 12 years she lives in an abandoned house by the woods in the outskirts of the city where only drug addicts and other outcasts like her roam. The house offers little protection from the sun, so during the first days after her shift she digs a hole under the boards and covers herself with dirt and wood every night before the sun comes up.
A few years later she gets back in touch with her friend Elliot who thought she had disappeared or died. They re-connect and he becomes a key person for Clem to keep her humanity. Whenever he can, he visits and helps her look more presentable, goes through the events of his day and the company; it becomes their little routine that keeps her grounded.
For years Clem keeps her promise to stay hidden and away. She also gets in touch with Lord Montano, an old and wise vampire who's away from the city but that is the only other lasombra in the Camarilla. Through letters he instructs her about their clan and the basics of the Camarilla.
It's twelve years later that Marcel returns with the news that Clem can finally return to Chicago. She has to join a group of vampires and be a coterie and in a few days, be introduced to the vampires of the city formally.
With her head held high but never forgetting the harships that build her into the person she's today, she returns to the city she once called home.
FAMILY AND GROWING UP
Clementine's mother's name is Gabrielle Guerrero and she has worked in NAARPR (NATIONAL ALLIANCE AGAINST RACIST AND POLITICAL REPRESSION) since it was created in the 1973, she’s one of the founders and is very passionate about it. Her father, Ruben Guerrero is the Political Director.
Growing up Clementine was always involved in many different charity events and worked as a volunteer all the way until her second year of college. Her parents were considered pillars of the community and instilled in her strong feelings of justice and high morals.
As she grew up however, Clem started hanging out with the children of influential political figures at school, though it wasn’t until college where that became her preferred group of people. She really enjoyed politics and finance and thought herself capable of charming anyone.
As her new lifestyle influenced her, she learned that what her parents believed in, while good, wasn’t getting ideal results. She started to become more cynical and ruthless in her business and political approach. She wanted to influence political figures directly without getting any of the heat of the public eye, and that’s how her friend Elliot and her came up with the idea of starting a Political Think Tank called BronzeTree.
Her new way of life and ideologies often clashed with her parents' more traditional ways, so they became a bit distant as she grew older, but they still held a positive relationship.
