Willow Greenleaf is a small, curly-haired halfling ranger who learned the art of adventuring from the elf Erevan. After Erevan's death, she seeks vengeance against the orc warlord who killed him. She is brave and curious.

Born and raised in the small town of Greenhaven, a halfling girl, Willow Greenleaf, was always fascinated by stories of adventure and heroism. Her town was nestled in a verdant valley, surrounded by dense forests and rolling hills, and Willow spent much of her youth exploring the natural beauty of her surroundings.
 
One day, when Willow was young, Greenhaven came under attack by a band of goblin raiders. The townsfolk were caught off guard and quickly overwhelmed, but just when all seemed lost, a lone elf appeared on the outskirts of town. He was tall and graceful, with long golden hair and piercing blue eyes.
 
The elf swiftly dispatched the goblins with his bow and sword, and Greenhaven was saved.
Willow was awestruck by the elf's heroism, and she approached him after the battle to thank him. The elf introduced himself as Erevan, a ranger and adventurer who had been traveling the land in search of worthy causes to champion. Willow begged him to take her on as his student, and after some initial reluctance, Erevan was won over by the halfling's determination and quick wit.
Over the next several years, Willow traveled with Erevan across the countryside, learning the ways of the ranger and the secrets of the wilderness. Erevan was a patient and exacting teacher, and he taught Willow everything from tracking and hunting to archery and swordplay. He also taught her how to speak several languages, including Elvish, Dwarvish and Gnomish which proved invaluable in their travels.
 
As Willow continued to travel and learn from Erevan, she discovered that he carried with him a small, green dragon scale that he always kept close to his heart. When she asked him about it, he told her that it had been a gift from a dragon he had saved from a group of hunters many years ago. The dragon, grateful for Erevan's help, had given him the scale as a token of their friendship.
 
Despite their many adventures and close bond, Willow and Erevan often disagreed about matters of justice and vengeance. Erevan was a firm believer in the importance of mercy and forgiveness, while Willow felt that some wrongs could only be righted through force. This tension came to a head when Erevan was killed by a group of orcs during one of their travels. In his last breath, the elf gave her his most precious possession, the dragon scale he kept always with him.
 
Devastated by Erevan's death, Willow resolved to seek vengeance against the orcs who had killed him. She set out on her own, determined to track down and defeat the orc warlord responsible for Erevan's demise. Along the way, Willow struggled with her conflicting emotions, torn between her loyalty to Erevan's teachings and her burning desire for revenge.
Now, as she enters the world of adventuring, Willow carries with her the memories of her beloved mentor and the weight of his legacy. She is a skilled ranger, with a sharp mind and a fierce determination to see justice done. But she also carries a darkness within her, born of her desire for vengeance and her fear that she may never find the peace she seeks.
 
Willow carries the dragon scale with her always, a source of strength and comfort in her darkest moments. She doesn't know if the legends about its magical properties are true, but she believes that it has a power all its own - the power to inspire her to be brave, to be wise, and to honor Erevan's memory.
