A rather eccentric, but extremely powerful wizard and ranking priest in the clergy of D'rek at their chapterhouse in the ancient city of Korel.

He was a powerful wizard (level 17) in the order of D'rek. Normally rank in this order is determined predominantly by magical prowess, however Banaschar was never particularly interested in internal politics, and so has not advanced especially far. Instead his focus was on relations with the outside world, not for the purpose of politicking and gaining internal power (like many others) but rather to gain power from sources outside of the temple. He also works to protect Korel from unnatural threats (although mostly from pragmatic reasons).
His personality is very similar to that of Sherlock Holmes.
