The party found him hiding in a locker in the crew quarters, where he was terrified by the attack of the Voidling.
After explaining the situation to him, he led them to the escape pods but discovered that Captain @merhis ID tag was needed to unlock the control room.
He advised rigging the main enging to oerload, as it could draw away most of the voidlings. He sabotaged in in such a way so that he could trigger it with a remote.
As the plan worked and they sped towards the escape pods, he noted that the external activation was broken and told the rest to get in the pod.
Apologizing for his earlier weakness, he launched the pod as the party watched him be devoured by a swarm of voidlings.
