Mentality

Personal history

Born to the high-ranking Anbrian noble Ambermour family.
At age five, his father was assassinated due to a political power grab. He witnessed his father's assassination from the view of a closet his father had hidden him in just before the assassins entered the room they were in. After the assassination, the assassins set fire to the manor to cover their tracks. In the ensuing inferno, Cassius was pinned under a burning girder during his escape, leading to the scar on his left side. He was freed by his two older brothers and carried out by his older sister. However, his brothers and mother were unable to escape and died in the flames.
His sister, fearing for her young brother's life, brought him to the nearest temple - a Temple to the god Aether, to be healed.
Upon learning their identities, and fearing the sibilings to be in imminent danger, the clergy whisked him and his sister to a far away temple where they were unlikely to be at risk of beinng discovered by political enemies.
Cassius afterwards grew up as normal as a child of in his situation could, and remained quite close to his sister through to adulthood.
In his teenage years he began to adopt a strong sense of justice eventually leading him to becoming a paladin.

Cassandra Cast - Cassius met Cassandra on her quest to find a cure for her family’s curse, as she searched the archives of the Temple of Aether in Ossand. Always finding pleasure in lending a helping hand to those in need, Cassius offered to help Cassandra in her search. While her search eventually led her out of Ossand, something told him that they would meet again. Cassius learned much from Cassandra about staying in harmony with nature, and has been eager to further learn and implement balance with nature into his life.
