Education

Gaius was educated by his parents and local clergy until he was 8 years old, after his fathers death in a joust his mother ceased interest in educating him. From 8 -12 He was mostly self educated by access to his family library ( and by visiting other houses and raiding theirs). When Gaius turned 12 he was squired to his grandfather the Grand Admiral of Runestone when he assisted in administrative tasks and trained in suppressing pirates and brigands from the coasts.

Failures & Embarrassments

When Gaius was 8 training in his fathers keep he complained about the quality of the breastplate he was wearing. His Father hearing this told him that if he did not like it he better make his own and forbid him for using any armor he did not make himself

Mental Trauma

Gaius Lost his Father at age 8 and because of that loss his mother became an Alcoholic. Due to this alcoholism she did not teach him how to form health relationships with others and did not give him much affection after that.

Morality & Philosophy

Gaius Learned his philosophy from church books, his litany of failures, the human suffering around him and finally from his Ancestors Tacitus the Betrayer's writings.

Motivation

Gaius wishes for the continuation of the world, the improvement of the lots of the mortal races, the influence of the Empire of Runestone over the smoking sea, and the Success of his children and loved ones
