Body Features

This is keeping track of her major scars, Nix has several smaller, almost nick-like scars from a lifetime of intensive training. None of these can usually be seen because of the nature of her robes. They are in chronological order from the oldest to most recent.
 
Childhood Scar: This is the first major scar Nix got, and none of the Misfits currently know how she got it. This scar starts from the left ankle and it is made up of 5, almost web-like, spindly thin scars that cross over each other. It ends a few inches below the knee, and the scar covers a lot of surface area as there is space between each of the 5. All of these scars are very thin, no more than half an inch wide at any point, but the fact that they are so different than all the other scars Nix has raises some curiosities.
 
Auntie's Incision: The first of three scars from Auntie. This was the first scar received from a dream, accompanied by bleeding from the eyes, like crying. About 2 inches long, no more than a half inch wide, and located right above the belly button, the exact place Nix was impaled in the dream.
 
Unseeing Eye: A scar that resembles more of a brand, this was received the next night from a different dream and is the second scar from Auntie. It matches the unseeing eye that was on the amulet, and it is located on the outer shoulder of the left arm.
 
Mindflayer (Death 1): Hidden by hair, this scar was the result of the back of Nix's skull being broken by the Mindflayer. It is a wobbly circle on the back of her head, the highest point being at the crown and the lowest being at the neck. The scar itself is thin, it marks the border where new skin was grown as part of Revivify.
 
Corrupted Auntie: This is the third and final scar from Auntie. This one was when Auntie came back as a corrupted and somehow more vile version of herself, and it covers up the first one because Nix was impaled in the same place. This scar is much bigger than the first one, about 2 inches at the widest point and about 3.5 inches long, tapering at the ends. Again, right above the belly button and going up to about an inch to 1.5 inches under the sternum. While being impaled by Auntie's claw was not fatal, the amount of damage taken and the limited healing available after the encounter means that this turned into a sizable scar. The healing was however able to stop a scar from forming on the back.
 
Failed Assassination: The most recent scar, Nix was able to go about a month, month and a half without gaining any new major ones. This is the largest and most severe out of all of them, as it resulted from four separate shortsword stabs in around the same place. This scar starts in the sternum, and then carves up towards Nix's right shoulder. At the widest point it is 1.5 inches, and in total it is about a foot long. It doesn't taper as quickly as the others, this scar maintains 1.5 to 1 inch as it's width for most of the length, only tapering down to half an inch at the first and last inch or so. Normally a stab wound would be thinner or not at all, but because it is three stab wounds stacked on top of each other, Ari has taken some liberties and it is much thicker than most. Because it is the newest scar it is also the most red. Based on the position it doesn't cross over with Corrupted Auntie's scar, it stars about an inch from where that one ends.

Facial Features

Light freckles cover her cheeks, and within the light brown ones are a few pure white freckles.

Nix wears the robes of her monastery, which are gray with purple trimmings. She carries her staff on her back, and small bags around her waist on the belt and sashes included with her uniform. She wears hand wrappings that go up to about halfway up her forearm, protecting her fingers and wrists from unnecessary damage.

Lessons from Ares of both martial arts and research/knowledge from the Archive once she was old enough, currently part of the oldest students, still under Ares's care as his student but lessons are less structured and more focused on self-directed research and training with weekly or bi-weekly check-in/training sessions
 
Weaving lessons from Mrs. Northhelm starting at age 27, responsible for Nix's upbringing and behavior before she was old enough to start tutelage under Ares, continues to be more of a maternal figure and tries to help Nix navigate the world outside of books (behavior, skills, "becoming a respectable young woman")

Mental Trauma

Abandoned at the monastery as a newborn, found out once she went into the world about her family and given name
Spent her childhood and early adulthood asking anybody who would answer questions about where she comes from, what they found when they found her, and researching in the archives for the family crest on her bracelet.
 
Various PTSD and guilt from literally dying (twice), losing two of her friends in less than 2 months and dealing the final blow to one of them, and nightmares from Auntie for several months. The nightmares have mostly gone, but the intensity and content within them is something Nix can't forget about.

Nix has a very hard time picking up sarcasm outside of her friends or family she grew up with, and this causes many miscommunications. If she knows someone she can be pretty in-tune with people's emotions, and will try her best to help.

Mannerisms

As a child Nix always had plenty of energy, and that has not diminished much. Adventuring takes out most of her energy, but back at the monastery a walk or sudden run is sometimes necessary.
When researching a topic she is passionate about or finds interesting, Nix will often forget to eat, sleep, or do her other responsibilities. This has lead to her missing training once (no one is going to ever let her live it down), missing several meals, and in one instance going 2 days without sleep before passing out in the Archive.
