Appearance
Physical Description
Brutalized by physical abuse, hard labour, malnourishment and lack of sunlight, Azi'Daha is muscled in his upper torso, but walks hunched most times. His body is full of scars and discolourations.
Body Features
A Tiefling born to Dragonborn parents, Azi'Daha is easily recognizable as being of fiendish heritage. His horns are stood up more than normal for Dragonborn. He is lacking a tail.
Facial Features
Azi'Daha has a short and stumpy snout. He has two rows of sharp teeth.
Identifying Characteristics
His status as a (former) slave is easily seen due to his lack of tail. His eyes and colouring are distinctive. He has many visible scars on his face, lower arms and wrists and upon his back. Exposure to salt and not enough exposure to sunlight has coloured his scales and horns in a telling manner.
Physical quirks
Due to the amputation of his tail, Azi'Daha walks leaning forward, almost hunched. This hides his great height unless he stands up. His lungs are ruined, which gives him a raspy voice and a unhealthy cough.
Apparel & Accessories
Azi'Daha, when not manacled, wears bracelets to hide the scarring on his wrists.

Personal history
Mahrad, Gem of the World, is home to many noble Houses. Amongst these, the Red house of Menrakesh is one of the most ancient. As all Houses, the House of Menrakesh has had its share of rises and falls. Once a powerful military family, it was devestated by the Saorsa rebellion. Blaming the loss on the House of Yzied, a feud began.
Menrakesh and Yzied fought through all means available to them, political, financial and physical. Their conflict drew in their allies and extended families, and brought the Mahrad upper crust into even more of a chaotic state than usual. Eventually, both houses were diminished, bereft of wealth and property. A meeting was called to end the feud, and during this meeting, the Genie Patrons of both houses were invited.
Lord Sython, Bearer of Grand Arms, Efreeti Patron of House Menrakesh and Lady Sealva'Ami, Whisperer of Eminent Tales, Mahrid Patron of house Yzied, were both displeased by the decline of their houses. Naturally, they blamed it on the other, which their mortal wards immediately agreed with. After a long and tense meeting, that lasted a week and drained the last of the wealth of both the houses, they entered into a wager. They had decided that the decline of the Houses was due to the great many deaths during the Saorsa Rebelion. From this moment on, both the main families of their Houses had to prove that they could take care of their Progeny.
"Let it be known. Let all hear and understand. The Noble house of Menrakesh and the Noble house of Yzied are henceforth Cursed. They shall suffer setback and bad luck untill they have proven that the future is to them as important as the past. They shall be doomed to fulfill this task, or fade into oblivion. Both their houses shall bear an Heir. This Child must outlive the Parent, only then shall the curse be lifted"
As was spoken, so it was. Both the Genie Patrons withdrew from contact with their families, after communicating clear rules about the Curse.
Not a year later, disaster struck. Azi'Daha was born, the promised Heir, to be kept safe untill the curse of Misfortune could be lifted. Yet misfortune had already cursed them, Azi'Daha was born a Tiefling, a child of fiendish heritage, according to some, a devil or demon reborn.
Azi'Daha's childhood was rough. Kept out of sight for fear of bringing shame to the family, he was ignored by most of his family, and mostly suffered abuse by the hands of their remaining servants. When eventually his Parents bore another child, he was set to work. Still, his life was protected, lest the Curse would not be lifted.
In his 14th year, the Menrakesh family fell into such great financial ruin that they had to liquidate their ancestral home, and many of their collections and heirlooms. House Yzied had long realized that Azi'Daha's nature was to their advantage. By ways of a financial scheme and the assistence of a friendly Hakim, they managed to purchase Azi'Daha through an intermediary.
Though the rules of the Curse state that none of the houses may work towards an unnatural death for any of their members, a life spent in slavery is anything but unnatural. As such, Azi'Dahas tail was amputated, and he was sold to a Bukharan salt mine.
The years in the mine have twisted Azi'Daha even further. The hard work and terrible living conditions have damaged his health greatly. His Fiendish heritage grants him strength and endurance, and he has managed to stay alive so far. His physical prowess is not great, but he has acces to dark strengths.
Education
