Havmand is half-human and half-varl, a strange and unique combination that has not before happened.
As a person he tends to be friendly and helpful towards everyone, and very protective over his allies and friends.
Havmand is half-human half-varl. He was riased by his human mother, Frigg, and never knew his father. He is curiosu who his father is, but never truely sought him out out of fear of what he would find out.
He spent the first 50 or so years of his life with his mother, taking care of and supporting her. After she had died and he buried her, he took to wandering on his own for another 50 or so years. Eventually though, the outside world got to dangerous to keep traveling alone, so he settled in deeplunn.
He took a job at the tavern, in part as a server but also an attraction. He slowly gained the trust of the people of deeplunn, and was content to stay there until another calling occured.

Learned extreme empathy from his mother, as well as the ideal that violence begets only violence. The worldcan be changed by acts of goodness and love.

Was a wanderer for 50 or so years, and worked at a tavern for a while after that.

Killing Haestan. It was just he believes as it was for the betterment of the entire caravan, though that doesn't necessarily make it any easier.
