She is strongly built, but she has weak upper body strength like Shinobu, but she is still capable of decapitating demons because of her flowy and abrupt movements.

Mentality

Personal history

Unfortunately, she lost her memory. She lived with her parents and her older sibling who taught her how to use the light breathing style, but a disastrous fire spread from someone's fingertips to their house and burned the place to the ground. She woke up in a hospital bed with 3rd-degree burns all through her right side and her family dead. She had hit her head on something and passed out right outside of the burning home. After that, she practiced her technique every day, until she was close to mastering most of them. She was found by Rengoku, and he took her in, and helped modify most of her forms.

Motivation

Rengoku's words to her. Rengoku had always told her to keep her chin up even in the darkest times. To move on and grow. She only really remembered these words later after his death. She gets out of her funk after remembering.

• She has anger issues -- she will punch Zenitsu if he is being cowardly and/or whining about something.

• Ironically, she will not open up to anyone about her issues. She bottles it up inside, and when she hugs people, she might need it more than the other person. Mostly that is false though and she just likes hugging people. Tanjiro notices her sadness when she hugged him once and told her that he is there for her, which made her feel bad for not saying anything. Tanjiro is the only person who can see through her mask.


• She doesn't talk to people she doesn't know unless she absolutely has to. Many people believe she is mute.


• Good Resting Bitch Face -- she glares a lot.


• She is terrible at making decisions and often doubts the one she picks. Makes Kanao look ingenious with her coin-flipping.


• After Rengoku's death, she grieved longer than anyone else. She was depressed for a long period of time, and it completely changed her personality. At least for a while.

• She is very good at emotionally reading people -- She can see through people's masks, and when they say they are fine and won't open up to her, she feels awful and useless


• She's a very good flicker. She will flick Zentsu all the time, who complains about it, but eventually, he sucks it up.


• Good at playing the Koto and Shamisen. Plays with Zenitsu all the time.


• She spaces out a lot and will forget stuff sometimes.

• Masao (Friend OC): Best friend -- After being blinded by an owl(???) She helps him get around, and helps him when he is upset about being blind. Mitsuko teaches him spacial awareness (much like Inosuke, but not as advanced. It's more like a Toph thing, which senses vibrations in the ground) which helps him fight. After he is blinded, Zenitsu is jealous that she spends a bit more time with him, but he didn't like Masao in the first place because Zenitsu is overprotective, and didn't trust him.


• Zenitsu: Best friend -- She can relate to him a lot, and tries to comfort him when he is down. Loves to play instruments with him and will braid his hair sometimes (and Nezuko's hehe). When he gets all in a twist about something scary to him, she gets annoyed and will punch him, which he continues to complain about, but he secretly likes it. She flicks him often too.


• Tanjiro: She loves giving him hugs, it's almost like he's a cloud or something, he just gives her so many fuzzy warm feelings when she hugs him. Tanjiro respects her a lot and admires her breathing Technique. He had never heard of Light Breather until he met her.


• Inosuke: Mitsuko doesn't understand him that much, but he does receive a lot of head pats from her. He is awed by how powerful her moves are and is a bit weirded out and offended by the way she uses her spacial awareness, but he doesn't mind her that much. Especially since she gives him her food a lot.


• Nezuko: Mitsuko is fascinated by her and how she is the only demon (Besides Tamayo and Yushiro) who hasn't consumed a human. She also receives a lot of head pats and she loves to do Nezuko's hair. Zenitsu gets flustered when he sees Nezuko so pretty and Mitsuko secretly ships the two.


• Rengoku: One of the biggest impacts on her life. He saw her skill and really saw potential. He took her in as a disciple and modified her Flaming Sun form. He would always give her advice, in which she was always listening intently. He told her to never give up. To keep fighting for peace and happiness. He told her that she had a role in this world, just like he did. To keep others safe from harm. His death changed her full personality for a long time. She started to space out when people were talking to her, she wouldn't talk as much as she used to, and she frequently forgot things. She grieved over his death longer than anyone. But later, she realizes and remembers what he said about keeping her chin up and having a role in the world. He would not want her to grieve like this. She visits Senjuro often to have tea and chat. He helps her get through it.


• Giyuu: She has a small crush on him, really admires his form, and thinks he is really pretty. She gets nervous around him, but she never shows it. Also, she can tell he is sad because his eyes are fogged over. She asks him about this later, in which he hesitates before telling her. Giyuu likes her form but thinks it could use a bit of work, she's still a bit reckless with her movement and flow, but he doesn't tell her that until later. He was one of the only ones who she cried in front of. He'd always comfort her.
