Career Talent: Calming Presence
Once per Turn, you may reduce the STRESS LEVEL of another character within SHORT range by one, in addition to the normal stress recovery (see page 104). In order to use this talent, you and any character that hopes to benefit from your calming presence must be in a relatively safe place. You cannot use this talent on yourself.
Player Role: You will keep others running when they think they're spent and cite your secondary specialty for further guidance when teams appear to be well.
Appearance
Physical Description
Short, plump, curvy
Identifying Characteristics
Big bouncy, curly dark hair
Physical quirks
A tendency to cry easily, especially during confrontational situations.
Apparel & Accessories
Signature Item: An antique gold locket containing a wedding photo of my maternal grandparents (Iris & Roderick) inside. The often-retold family legend surrounding their adventurous love story inspires me. It’s something I try to focus on when I feel my faith wavering. I wear it everywhere except in the shower, but always under my clothes and turned around so the Temple symbol engraved on the front is not visible.
Mentality
Personal history
I was raised in the Temple and steeped in its traditions and culture. My maternal grandparents were important, respected Temple leaders who were also revered as pioneers for their exploration/missionary work.
In my early adulthood – especially during medical training – I started to question my faith and the value of a Temple-centered life and quasi-arranged marriage. I keep very quiet about my religious background, partially because I am starting to distance myself from the faith, and partly because I am worried about animosity from fellow pioneers about having gotten a “free ride” to Enoch III. While it’s true that I used my Temple connections to arrive on the planet with no financial debt, I’m apprehensive about what will be asked of my by the Temple in the future, under the terms of an extremely vaguely-defined “service” agreement.
Education
I completed my medical training program at a university affiliated with the Temple (the institution has a legit, respected teaching hospital but people might scoff at the idea of studying science & medicine at a religious-affiliated school).
Intellectual Characteristics
Quick-witted, socially and emotionally intelligent.

Contacts & Relations
Robbie - Brazilian med tech, used to be a paramedic in an urban environment and is trying to escape that. We come from different backgrounds but both come from large families and bonded over a shared love of baking (and 3B hair type)
Family Ties
I am leaving behind my parents and four (much) older siblings. I persuaded my parents this was a good idea because it is a great service to the Temple. They are sad and worried but intensely proud of me.
Religious Views
I was raised in the Temple and steeped in its traditions and culture. In my early adulthood – especially during medical training – I started to question my faith and the value of a Temple-centered life. My search for The Truth is one of my primary motivating factors in this stage of my life.
Social Aptitude
I'm highly empathetic with strong social & emotional intelligence. In my teen years I was the person everyone wanted to babysit their children.
