Gorbash grew up in the slums of Fume City. He was a street urchin, fighting, stealing and scamming his way through life making friends and enemies among the street gangs and citizens of the lower classes of Fume City. Eventually, he grew tired of the aimlessness of his slum-life, and decided to join the city guard. The reason being, this was a safer way of life than slumming around, and he had some friends in the guard who convinced him to join for the easy money in bribes and dirty deeds he could get. Among the city guard is where he learned how to use a rifle, and he excelled at it! After some years in the guard his taking of bribes and extortion was found out by one of his superiors (who didn't like Gorbash much), and he was thrown out of the city guard. He has been making his living in the criminal underworld of Fume City after the fact, having made many contacts there while working as a guard.
