Background

Carmelo once served aboard the Iron Fluke, a ship notorious for its daring raids. During one of their escapades, he discovered a magical leash and harness among the spoils of a wrecked merchant vessel. When he touched it, Nugget—a small magical dragon—appeared and bonded with him immediately. Carmelo quickly grew attached to Nugget, but the dragon’s insatiable appetite and penchant for mischief soon alienated him from his crew. Labeled a liability, Carmelo was eventually forced to leave the Iron Fluke.

Struggling to find work due to Nugget’s antics, Carmelo fell into a downward spiral, taking odd jobs and barely scraping by. Despite his challenges, he continued to care for Nugget with unwavering devotion, sacrificing his own comfort to ensure the dragon’s well-being.
