Nephi was born as a Tiefling, the product of a union between the human and infernal. Who her parents are is unclear, shortly after her birth she was placed on the doorstep of the Temple of Selune. Her arrival had been announced by the former Oracle of the Temple; Graff. The appearence of the little Tiefling caused a bit of uproar within the Temple community, but after a while Nephi has been accepted by it's members.
 
Several years later Nephi received a message from her Godess Selune. The message came in the form of a vision. A vision warning of a great disease. This prophecy caused Nephi's status within the order to change; she recieved the honorary title of Oracle.
 
Years passed by and nothing of note happened. Untill a couple of days ago.. When Nephi had another vision; In this vision she was visited by a being of pure light one of Selune's Shards (Angels). The vision painted a scene of cities drowned in a convulsing shadow clawing around itself and covering the cities in darkness and despair. The only place not covered was bathed in a bright light keeping the shadows at bay, at the center of this light stood a group of humanoid shadows. The next morning Nephi left a note and set out to fulfill the prophecy granted to her by Selune.
