Physical Description

Margerie is a tall and thin woman who could be described as "willowy". She has short hair and very light coloration. Margerie walks with a slight limp, and is a slower walker than most.

Apparel & Accessories

Margerie is often seen wearing simple outfits made up of a long-sleeved blouse, a calf-length skirt, and work boots. Although she would be expected to wear flats or heels, she much prefers the more practical work boots she purchases from surplus stores.

Specialized Equipment

Margerie was gifted an expensive ballpoint clicker pen by her brother after she graduated from their local high school. When asked about it, she will proudly tell people about how her brother saved up his pennies for seven months to afford the pen. Margerie will click the pen thrice in rapid succession when she needs to remember a point in time.

Special abilities

Margerie has memorized the spell "Command Ye Celestial Flames" and has in fact utilized this spell on one occasion: in the town of Emberhead, which only she remembers.

Margerie is employed as an author who writes for many magazines based out of various places in the eastern United States. She has recently accepted a job as an assistant teacher to Professor Rice, which she was contacted for without applying. She is mildly suspicious of the position, but has convinced herself that she was contacted based on the success of her recent short stories.

Motivation

Margerie dreams big. Her ambition is to one day be permitted to join the
United States Armed Forces and "fight alongside her brothers in arms". Most men and other women see her ambitions as strange, but Margerie is confident in her ability to serve. Unfortunately for her, women are not permitted to serve outside of the Army Nurse Corps, so her attempts to enlist directly into the Army have been shot down repeatedly.

Family Ties

Margerie has a younger brother named Karl who died in 1921. She doesn't talk about her family much, but it can be assumed that her parents are still living although estranged from her by those who deign to ask.
 
When pressed about why she is estranged from her family, she will mumble and avoid the question to the best of her ability. Eventually, she may admit that she hasn't spoken to her parents since her brother's death, but no more.

Hobbies & Pets

Margerie keeps a tabby cat named Sonja as a companion, although Sonja is currently being watched by Rudolph Andrews — Margerie's landlord and close friend — while she is in Arkham.
 
Margerie took up a hobby of journaling her experiences after she came to the United States of America, and she continues her hobby to the present day. She also sketches in her journals, although she has little confidence in her artistic capabilities.

Speech

Margerie speaks with a notable accent that is distinguishable as Northern European, although she has picked up enough of a New Yorker drawl for her accent to be nearly impossible to pinpoint any further.
