In the distant reaches of a vibrant cosmos that blended magic and technology we find our character Hilmo Feck. A half-elf soldier, he found his calling within the Order of the Trinity, a secretive enclave devoted to the goddess Herin the Forgotten, deity of family, growth, and death. His tale began with his service in the The Galactic Oligarchy’s military as a field cleric under the Life Domain branch, treating and supporting the troops on the battlefield. It was during one of these operations where his unit was ordered to eradicate a ‘cult’ deemed not compatible with the Oligarchy’s ideology, that he was confronted by a survivor and learnt the truth about Herin. During this event he decided to defect from his unit and escape along with the remaining survivor and join the Order.
After a long and arduous journey he was taken to the Orders fortress moon. The main base of operations, that serves as a sanctuary for the Order, a place where tradition and faith were the last bulwarks against the oppressive Galactic Oligarchy’s plan to eradicate all faiths that don’t align with their values.
Hilmo was born on one of the many world’s controlled by the Oligarchy, when he came of age he was selected for the role of field cleric under the Life Domain branch like most of his family. He soon lost contact with his family, like many others, upon entering service with the The Galactic Oligarchy’s military, never to see them again.
Upon entering the order he learned of the balance that Herin represented: life, death, and the ever-present connection between the two.
As he grew older, Hilmo's unique affinity for the mysteries of death became apparent. The Order recognized this gift as a divine calling, and he was initiated into the enigmatic Death Domain. Under the silver glow of the moon, Hilmo delved into the esoteric arts of necromancy, mastering the power to manipulate life and death.
In the wider galaxy, the oppressive shadow of the Galactic Oligarchy cast a pall over all who resisted their uncompromising rule. The Oligarchy sought to eradicate anyone who defied their prescribed way of life. The Order of the Trinity had been in their crosshairs for some time, and as the Oligarchy's power grew, so did the suffering of those who refused to submit.
Hilmo couldn't stand idly by while the Order's moon fortress and its way of life were threatened. His faith in Herin, the goddess of family, growth, and death, compelled him to act.
And so he joined the Order’s scout covert ops, going forth to other systems and undermining the Oligarchy by any means necessary.
