Appearance
Physical Description
Ayeshi is a centaur with tanned skin and blue roan fur with a white splash of white on his rump. He has freckles and long, black hair that lays straight. He has the ears of a horse as well, which are very expressive. Ayeshi is very large, even for a centaur, and very fit due to all his physical training.
Apparel & Accessories
Ayeshi doesn't wear clothes unless it's too cold, or he's wearing armor. He usually wears a belt with pouches on it, and two bags slung over his back, along with his brother's blanket to keep the bags from rubbing against him. In cold weather he wears a thick poncho on his upper body, and occasionally a scarf to keep his face warm.
Specialized Equipment
Ayeshi is quite skilled with a bow and arrow, dagger, and crossbow. He has some practice with most other weapons such as maces, staffs, spears, and swords, and can use them in a pinch, but he does much better using his hooves, crossbow and dagger than anything else. He's also skilled with a carving knife, which he uses to carve small wooden animals or utensils.
Mentality
Personal history
Ayeshi grew up in a very small settlement in Kheiron that served as a resting place for those travelling. He was born to Dinil and Boshkee as their second son. His mother Dinil was a born-demon hunter from her own family, and trained her children to do the same. His father, Boshkee, was a merchant who took Ayeshi and his brother Nahine on trips with him often. Ayeshi and Nahine trained and played together often as there weren't any other young centaurs in the village. Ayeshi was known for being a big absent-minded and would get lost due to being distracted or not paying attention, though Nahine would often pull him back to reality.
Ayeshi spent his whole life training to hunt demons, and when he was finally old enough his parents agreed to let him travel with Nahine to face down a demon. The demon turned out to be much stronger than anyone had guessed, and even though they were both badly injured, Ayeshi froze in terror at the wrong moment. Nahine leapt in front of his brother and took a fatal blow to the chest, killing him instantly. In a fit of rage and sorrow, Ayeshi killed the demon and dragged Nahine's body all the way back home.
Afterwards, Ayeshi could only blame himself, and a month after Nahine's death he cut off several inches of his hair, leaving it along with a letter to his parents before leaving home. He planned to return once he was a good enough warrior, and his hair had reached his withers. For a month he remained in the port he had arrived in, contemplating returning, when he received a letter sent from his parents, which he was too afraid to open. He decided to continue on his journey instead of facing them and his grief.
He traveled across the Empire in a near trance for the first few months, trading small wooden carvings of animals, tools, and utensils to anyone who would take them for food. He fought demons when he found them, and cut inches of his hair off when he felt he had not done good enough, or felt like he had failed. He continued travelling until he came across several unconscious humans, and ended up joining the Goddess Knights.
Education
Ayeshi, like most centaurs, had little education beyond practicality in his life. He learned some history though this was mostly focused around Kheiron and centaurs. He learned a lot of the world outside of Kheiron through books that his father brought, though it takes him a long time to read because of his farsightedness and lack of glasses. After this simple education, all learning was focused on physically training and learning fighting tactics and strategy.
Mental Trauma
Ayeshi saw his brother take a hit for him and die before his eyes, which has made him terrified of losing anyone close to him. He's protective of his friends and often puts too much responsibility on himself to keep people safe, considering himself a failure if something goes wrong. He has repetitive nightmares nearly every night of his brother dying before him, and he tends to run away from emotional issues instead of dealing with them. He hasn't given himself time to properly grieve for his brother.
Intellectual Characteristics
Ayeshi has wonderful physical intelligence, knowing his limits and what he is capable of. He's a good strategist and navigator and has wonderful visual memory. However, he can be a bit clueless when it comes to some social cues like flirting.
Morality & Philosophy
Ayeshi judges people based on their actions. He believes that everyone deserves to have confidence in themselves and that others should not judge you without knowing you, and that you know yourself better than anyone else ever can. He dislikes killing but finds it necessary at times and will not hesitate if he deems it so.
person.sexuality
Asexual demiromantic with andro-attraction.
person.gender_identity

Personality
Motivation
Ayeshi's main motivation is to become a better warrior, which he believes will help him feel better about the death of his brother. He initially does this in order to allow himself to go home again, but now he does it to protect the others in the Goddess Knights and defeat Vahit.
Likes & Dislikes
Likes: Open areas, plants of all sorts, swimming, cooking, the stars, sweets
Dislikes: Enclosed spaces, killing, sour and spicy foods, being alone, demons, stairs
Virtues & Personality perks
Ayeshi is confident when fighting and never hesitates. He is kind to almost everyone, despite how they may treat him. He will do whatever he can to prevent a death.
Vices & Personality flaws
Ayeshi puts too much pressure on himself and considers himself a failure if things go wrong, even if it was entirely out of his control. He takes responsibility for things that aren't his to take, and punishes himself by cutting his hair shorter. Ayeshi doesn't like to face difficult emotions and instead opts to run away from them. He pushes himself too far too often and often has to be forced to rest, or he collapses.

Contacts & Relations
Jérémie Aumerle is the leader of the Goddess Knights and Ayeshi's boyfriend. He finds Jeremie very strong but wishes that he could help ease some of Jeremie's worries and responsibilities. He enjoys Jeremie's passion for books and his drive to be a better person. Ayeshi enjoys Jeremie's company, his favorite thing being to curl up with him and listen to Jeremie read out loud.
Wealth & Financial state
Ayeshi makes a decent amount from missions with the Goddess Knights, but he tends to spend the coin quickly on his friends and sweets. He doesn't own many expensive items; perhaps the most expensive is his crossbow. He's quite happy living with what he has on his back.
Family Ties
Dinil is Ayeshi's mother, a warrior, demon-hunter, and the one who taught Ayeshi most of his fighting skills. Though she's always been tough with both of her sons, she has a soft spot for Ayeshi as he's the baby of the family. Ayeshi is very close with his mother but not as close as he is with his dad. He respects her and sees her as his role model for what a warrior should be, though he thinks she can be a bit too cruel at times. Dinil is afraid Ayeshi is too soft for the world and will get hurt or killed because of it, so she trains him as hard as he can handle and holds her expectations for him high.
Boshkee is Ayeshi's father, who named him and calls him 'Egg' as a nickname. Ayeshi is very close with his father, who taught him how to carve and press flowers and taught him to be gentle and kind unless it was necessary to be sharp. Boshkee often makes horse jokes and puns, which Ayeshi finds annoying after a while due to his brother also joining in. He enjoys going on trips with Boshkee but worries for him because of his soft nature. Boshkee wishes the best for Ayeshi and hopes that he doesn't think that fighting is all their is to life.
Nahine is Ayeshi's older brother, who died during Ayeshi's first demon hunt. The two were extremely close and inseparable their entire lives. Ayeshi looked up to Nahine in every way, and Nahine would teach and care for Ayeshi more patiently than anyone. Nahine would even take Ayeshi along when him and his friend would go exploring out in fields further from the village, where Ayeshi wasn't supposed to be. Nahine would often tease Ayeshi about being the baby, calling him "baby brother" and "baby Egg" all of the time. He was close to his mother but had many of the same playful, calm mannerisms of his father. Ayeshi misses him greatly and still has not properly grieved him.
Social Aptitude
Ayeshi is friendly to everyone and tends to be quite outgoing, though he gets quiet in places he believes he does not belong. He can be entirely oblivious to things like flirting, as he compliments everyone he enjoys the company of regardless. Ayeshi is very group-oriented and can get very depressed if left alone for too long.
