Kina is considered to the black sheep of her siblings, as she ran away from home to go on adventure when she was just 14 years old. She was gone for about 5 years, and in that time had two children which she brought back with her to Boldern Tower.
Her children are Aegon and Zacariah. The father(s) are unknown, though suspected to be different; Aegon is pale with silver hair, and Zacariah is dark-skinned with dark brown hair. Kina is known to be a bit of a tale-teller and will often claim each of her bastards has noble heritage, but her stories vary wildly from House Marion in the northeast to the Lord O'ta in the southeast to the Lord Regent Stonebride himself.
She is not well known to any of our heroes at the start of this adventure, with only a few tidbits - most have probably heard through Grandma Veruna or Jaina grumbling that Kina has some sort of latent magical talent, though one which she appears to not have developed unlike her sister Jaina.
Kina is sometimes called the Whore of Caleil, and many knights and other noble visitors claim to have bedded her during their time at the tower. She neither confirms nor denies such claims. Most of the time she stays around the tower, sometimes caring for her sons and sometimes leaving them to her maids. On occasion she can be seen in some sort of costume, with hair of a different color or masks or outfits; one story tells of a time she disguised as her sister Jaina to talk to her father.
Quotes:
Her: "Small-minded folk around here like to say this or that about me... but most of them have barely seen the outsides of their own doors. There are better people out there to waste time on."
About her (Zayne Calloway, Court Bard): "Mysteries, truths and half-truths cloak the lady Kina like a ... cloak. Any man who claims to know her nature is a fool, and any man not utterly enraptured by her charm is a man without imagination... or a poof."
