Physical Description

Fairly average halfling physiology though he doesn't have much endurance. He's more suited towards activities that require a lot of effort in a short amount of time rather than marathons.

His entire frame becomes spindly and unnaturally thin, like a skeleton walking with skin grafted to the bone.

Satiated Fabian

Slim forearms and shoulders. Greasy black hair that keeps a very messy look with lots of tangled strands and knots. Firm legs and a belly that sticks out only slightly.

Turning Fabian

Hair becomes frizzy and grey in some places. One of his eyes becomes clear white. Nails get longer. Becomes taller as his toes stay to the ground while his heel elevates.

Greedy Fabian

Full mane of white hair. Both eyes are clear. Mark of Avarice on his forehead. Tongue becomes forked.

Personal history

Fabian Goldstein was initially born as Fabian Thoreau. He believes that his mother abandoned him after a year or so, only leaving him a wooden coin with a winking imp on the front and the imp's tail wrapped around a bag of gold on the back along with her brownish orange bandanna. He was primarily raised by Iron, a cigar smoking imp with a love of wealth who commonly takes the form of a raven. At first, the relationship between the two was of an unwilling master tending to a child due to Fabian being a little over a two years old. Iron, for reasons he will not explain, kept Fabian alive during those times and as he grew up the two developed a father/son relationship.

Around his fourteenth year of life, Fabian was elevated to Upper Crystallis by Jeremy Goldstein via a scholarship into the Academy and a formal adoption into House Fortuna. The years were not kind due to Fabian's affliction, but he endured with not only Iron but also Clemens Von Wulfengeist, his closest friend. Fabian learned little about his condition but he did learn to better control his curse. After taking his graduation exam, he sticks close to Clemens and continues his research into the history of Arhor'ha in an effort to find the locations of valuable artifacts and a way to combat his curse. However, he had a deal to keep. Clemens suffered because of being Fabian's friend so the two decided to part ways.

Or perhaps not. As time progresses and wisdom sets in, slowly Fabian became more and more aware of the severity of his condition and, seeking not to hamper Clemens by making things worse for him, told him that he planned to leave in order to find a cure.
