Drow, Cleric of Twilight
Her devotion to the Underdark did not go unnoticed by the people there. Helping others to convert from the unappealing Lulth to a more prosperous goddess such as Shur, the goddess of darkness and loss.
Her time in the overworld helped a lot of elves in the Drotus Empire during there darkness hours. Helping them finding the shadows to hide and dealing with there losses. When the fall of the Drotus Empire came fewer people needed her help when the gith came. But after some jobs are done, she heard rumors about the north from Lorafine and jobs that might need her abilities.

Personal history
The drow who goes by Lexi (not her full name, but none on the surface know it anyway) was, as most drow, born and raised in the underdark, and at an early age - 30s or so - she started following Shur, the goddess of darkness and loss. Why would one follow such a negative deity? Well, things are rough in the underdark. Less so for drow, perhaps, but more so for women, and serving a deity whose domain is such locally powerful and ever-present forces as darkness and loss does come with significant benefits. Her service and worship in the underdark did not go unnoticed, but eventually she realised she didn’t want to stay down there. She couldn’t stand the unending misery and horrors, and so she took it upon herself, a relatively newly anointed priestess, to do her goddess’ bidding on the surface instead.
Already quite skilled at staying in the shadows, she had little trouble avoiding the policing forces of the oppressive Drotus empire until it fell, and from the shadows she offered guidance, blessings, and sometimes more shady and violent services to those who could pay. Contacts came and went, during this long time. In the world of humans, 50 years is a long time, and much changed between her arrival and the fall of the empire and its aftermath. It never bothered her for long, since loss was such an integral part of her life. She just went where her wisdom and services might be needed, or where there was precious money to be made.
One of her current contacts, Lorafine, had given her a lead on a job up north. It was a bit out of Lexi’s element, admittedly, but the far north is a more free place, where, upon completion of this job, Shur’s teachings and presence may not have to be so underground anymore. Certainly an attractive idea. What the job entailed was to go out into the wilderness well beyond the borders of the fallen empire and investigate what had been causing disappearances of workers sent there. A fool’s errand, perhaps, but the potential payoff was too great to ignore. Just imagine, a populace terrified of dangers beyond their understanding, graciously saved by an agent of a goddess not much heard of before. This potential for recruitment and growth in power cannot be squandered just for comfort.
