She was born to an odd family, in an arguably evil society. Nonetheless, she was treated well. Cyclops, well, giants in general don’t have a high fertility rate. As a result, their society has developed in a unique twisted way. The information pertaining how is detailed on the Giant Nation’s main article.
Regardless, Nixi’s mother was a blue Teifling, with Genasi lineage, who had been captured by Goliath slavers and sold to the giant clans. Nixi’s father purchased her as one of the cheaper slaves, knowing exactly what her fate would be as, for lack of a better phrasing, a one-use purchase. He hoped to produce another child with her, as he and his wife were having no luck since they had Agatha some 21 years before. It worked, and a year later his second daughter, Nixi, was born. Her birth mother died, but she was raised as though she was born to his wife. She had a rather happy childhood all things considered.
Her sister, Agatha left on her own adventure when Nixi was 9 years old. Agatha came back with a smaller folk friend when Nixi was 19 years old. She was an Elven woman, and she had with her, her newborn child. It was a life changing experience almost for Nixi, to hold in her hand this tiny life. The baby fit within her hand adorably cooed at her.
They had apparently come looking for a friend of the Elfs, shockingly a Demigoddess who recently took residence under one of the mountains around them. Nixi went with them and met Hilda face to face. She had already set herself on the path of a Fighter, but she still found herself drawn towards her. She watched as this gigantic demigod gushed over the baby just as she had. A few years later, although she had never been able to find Hilda again, she had been contacted by her. Hilda had taken the first steps into godhood, she had granted her first gift to that child they held, though she was still too young to know it. Nixi then became Hilda’s second follower, not that she had much to do yet.
Still, though she couldn’t remember the elven mother’s name, she’d never forget that child’s name. Charlotte. Hopefully, she’ll meet her again one day. She’d also like to see her sister again, get her to make her some new equipment.
