God of Tyranny
When the first mortal sought to rule another through fear and oppression, so followed Asmodeaus, God of Tyranny. Since his birth, Asmodeaus has ruled in governance of the law. Using pacts and deals, he has brought tyrants to power and warlords victory. However; every deal comes with a price, for Asmodeaus is above all cunning.
Born from the greedy hearts of mortals, Asmodeaus found his place among the gods with ease. For centuries, he made pacts with wicked men and helped them fulfill their desires. This worked well for Asmodeaus, for in the world there is never a shortage of greedy mortals who would be willing to sell their soul for power and wealth. However, his pacts were not without their costs and when a pact holder died, they joined in his legion of Devils. Over time, his army grew, as the word of Asmodeaus and his pacts became notorious in dark circles. With more and more join his army by the day, the power crept its way into Asmodeaus' mind. Unlike Abaddon, the God of Destruction, Asmodeaus had followers and an army. This gave him a false sense of strength, and much like those who accepted his pacts, he too sought more and more power.
It was not long before Asmodeaus made his move. Gathering up his followers, he stormed Abaddon's home, seeking to pry the God from it and take his seat as the next ruler of the Dark Gods. Asmodeaus, however; was not privy to the powers of Abaddon, and as soon as the assault began, it was over. With one swing of his mighty sword, Will Breaker, the army along side Asmodeaus was brought to their knees. Abaddon was furious, never had he been betrayed so ruthlessly. The mighty Gods presence flowed over the army like a dark veil and not but a whisper could be heard. It was only moments, but to those there it felt like eternity, before Abaddon finally spoke.
"Asmodeaus, does your treachery know no bounds?"
The pressure of these words weighed down upon Asmodeaus, as if the world itself was placed upon his shoulders. "No, my lord, I only..." he tried to get out, before Abaddon interrupted him .
"Silence," Abaddon roared, "I know your heart like I know all my children's. Know that you will be punished for these transgressions and your sentence will not be light."
Before Asmodeaus could utter a response in his own defense, chains erupted from the ground, wrapping themselves around his like a viper does its prey. "You sought to become a ruler Asmodeaus? Well, a ruler shall you be. For the rest of you existence you will watch over the Nine Hells, never to leave it. It will be your home and your tomb."
With those words, Asmodeaus was dragged to the underworld, alone upon his desolate throne. Now Asmodeaus sits, punished for his crimes, to forever watch over the Devils and their deeds. Unlike before, he can only bear witness to the pacts, never to make his own.
