As Aelyzia Thorne, she is a detective under D.C.I. Juniper Stites of Stormwind's investigative team. Although her colleagues know of her desire for dark magics and penchant for ignoble deeds, they can only guess at her true nature.
As Sylarith, she is a fallen bloodwarder, once under Prince Kael'thas. In truth, the real Sylarith has died years ago during the war in Outland, but that does not stop Sinistrea from impersonating the sin'dorei, and using her story as the ideal guise.
In truth, Sinistrea is an amalgamation of souls—that of the human Aelyzia Thorne, and the sayaad Selissa. Through a twisted ritual the two souls were merged into a new form, and born anew. Taking up the demon name "Sinistrea", she tries to find her place in a world that shuns her.
Appearance
Physical Description
Sinistrea sports lean muscle, favouring agility over strength. Even so, the felblood that courses through her veins grants her unparalleled endurance and stamina. There is certainly something of a demonic grace to her movement, especially in battle.
Body Features
Although a half-demon, Sinistrea looks remarkably like a human and elf breed. Standing tall and wide-shouldered gives her a touch of masculinity to her outwardly feminine appearance, not unlike Aelyzia had once been; a proud, Stromgarde noble.
Facial Features
It is in her visage that her feigned half-elf descent comes to light. Her ears are pointed upwards, shorter than an elf's yet longer than a human's. So, too, does she sport elven fangs, though they are far from the bestial canines of the Kaldorei.
Her high cheekbones and almond-shaped eyes only exacerbate her elven features, though she has the sturdy jaw of a human.
Identifying Characteristics
Most notably are her eyes. Unlike a demon's and elf's bright colours, Sinistrea's are far more dim, shining a gloomy amber hue and displaying her slitted, black pupils. There is something of the serpentine to her gaze.
Physical quirks
Her fel soul and felblood mark her as a demon. Although she does not use fel magics, the chaotic magics rage within her body nonetheless, and will eventually corrupt it fully. For now, she shows little signs of such, though time will change that most assuredly.
Apparel & Accessories
It is exceedingly rare to see Sinistrea unarmed, even in social occasions. Although she has a variety of weapons, she is most often seen with her parrying dagger and longsword, always made of some cruel material or exuding a cursed aura.
Special abilities
Her mastery of dark magics and her demonic physique lend her to be an excellent magical combatant. Taught once under the hood of a powerful dreadlord, her abilities are exceedingly vampiric. She excels in draining and withering souls, sapping magic, and dancing a waltz of rapturous, bloody murder.
Mentality
Personal history
Sinistrea only remembers fleeting vestiges of her former lives.
One was that of Aelyzia Thorne, and her sickening descent into madness and depravity. Born a Stromgarde noble, she lost her parents and brothers to disease, and was left to manage a growing household on her own. Her anger and grief manifested a terrible entity that would change her life forever.
The creature of the Void twisted her psyche, and cursed her with an eternal life bereft of pleasure and passion. The fire that burned in her heart threatened to snuff out with every waking moment. Only deprave cruelty and torture could ignite the flames, yet the embers demanded more and more.
The other was Selissa, a sayaad of the Burning Legion. Under dreadlord Threzevan she became a mistress of pain and secrets, infiltrating the covens of the Great Dark Beyond, and sowing the seeds of chaos.
One day their lives would intertwine, when Aelyzia crafted a ritual to cleanse herself of the curse that devoured her soul. Through the crafty tricks of one Trix Felpocket—a demonologist of the Brotherhood—Aelyziabound the form of Selissa, and sought to transfer her curse to the sayaad.
The ritual succeeded; the curse was gone. Yet so was Aelyzia, and so was Selissa. Born from the dying flames of the ritual of rebirth was a new being; neither human nor sayaad, but something else. When the conscience she was gifted as a human returned to her, the enormous guilt of her actions weighed on her heavily.
Yet, in time, she learned to understand her new place in this world, and slowly she seeks to carve our her own paradise. Now she is Sinistrea, Daemonhost, Breaker of Spells, and Rapturous Murderess.
Education
In her former life, Aelyzia was taught the things every human noble is taught; extensive maths, history, literature, warfare, combat. and more... granting her a significant lead above the chaff. In particular, she became an excellent duelist and tracker.
In the other, that of Selissa, she was taught by the dreadlord Threzevan the torturous techniques of the Burning Legion. Fel and shadow magic were chief among her abilities, though her skills in combat were lacking.
Employment
Currently, under the guise of Aelyzia Thorne, she is a detective in Stormwind.
Accomplishments & Achievements
As Aelyzia Thorne she has fought in many wars. She fought the Horde during the Cataclysm, the Pandaria invasion, and the recent Fourth War. Twice now has she stood at the gates of Orgrimmar. The Horde is not all she fought, however, as she has participated in the fight against the Iron Horde as well as the Legion and N'zoth's army.
As Selissa, she has witnessed and partook in all three invasions of Azeroth, and has witnessed first-hand the machinations of Illidan Stormrage on Outland. Countless other wars and battles across the Great Dark Beyond and the Twisting Nether she has doubtlessly seen, though her memories of these events are vague and fleeting.
Failures & Embarrassments
Following the twisted ritual that created her, Sinistrea had trouble finding her place in the world, and coping with two souls forced into a singular one. In her troubles, she estranged herself greatly with the Brotherhood that helped her be rid of her curse, and was eventually removed.
To list all her failures and embarrassments would be a feat of Gods, for they are many. In her trek that spans many months, she has fallen out with many friends, nearly lost her life thrice, and many times desired nothing more than to flee the world.
Mental Trauma
There are little events Sinistrea can count as truly traumatic, for her will is rather strong. The death of her family as Aelyzia has traumatized her significantly, however, and the details of the events that happened after their demise are still twisted by her psyche. She refuses to see the truth, and believes her family was murdered, rather than taken by a disease.
Furthermore, the indoctrination of the Burning Legion runs deep in her demon-side. Although she wields shadow magics, she refuses to wield the Void, and feels a welling sickness in her that manifests as equal parts fear and hatred.
Morality & Philosophy
Both have shifted tremendously throughout the months, though they are beginning to settle.
In particular, Aelyzia is a staunch anti-traditionalist, in particular towards human views of life. She will actively go against what is expected of her as a human, woman, and demon, out of sheer spite.
person.sexuality
Sinistrea is bisexual, favouring neither gender.
person.gender_identity
Although outwardly female, Sinistrea does not identify as any gender in particular. She prides herself in her androginity, though will usually refer to herself as a woman.
Taboos
It would be difficult to explain all the taboos Sinistrea takes part of. Being a demon makes most things she find virtuous to be sinful in the eyes of others.
Known Languages
Her native languages are Common and Eredun, and she possesses excellent knowledge of Orcish and Thalassian.
Her Dwarven, Draenic, Darnassian, Shalassian, and Nazja leave some to be desired, though she can understand the tongues by virtue of knowing related ones.
Most other languages she will not understand, or not enough to decipher the context.
Personality
Motivation
One of her most base motivations is survival. Her demonic soul requires sustenance in the form of magic, suffering, and souls, and so she frequently searches for magical nodes or artifacts to siphon, or souls to devour.
A more social need of hers is a desire to fit and be accepted. As such, attaining friends and lovers with whom she can share her twisted stories and feel comfortable around, is her greatest motivation in life.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Being born a noble and a demon, she has very little knowledge on the base needs of a human without substantial wealth. She cannot cook, has no idea how to wash her clothes... and other such basic skills one might expect of an adult.
On the other hand, she is very keen with literature, Azeroth's history, and is remarkably good at understanding and accepting another's thought-process, even if she may disagree. She is often heard philosophizing about and arguing in favor of terrible deeds done by wicked people.
Likes & Dislikes
She has a great dislike for traditionalists and authoritative figures, and actively struggles obeying the orders of her superiors if she does not respect them.
On the other hand, she likes luxury, comfort, and solitude. It is rare to see her in large parties, though finds great enjoyment in a deep talk with one or two comrades, with a fine Dalaran Noir in hand, seated on velvet cushions.
Virtues & Personality perks
Sinistrea is remarkably forgiving to those who have found themselves at the wrong side of history. She knows what it means to be indoctrinated, and to be in such a desperate place as to do extremely vile deeds.
Freedom and passion are two virtues she sees as quasi-divine, which usually manifest into positive perks. She will rarely force others into positions where they cannot be free, and is always eager to promote passionate lifestyles.
Vices & Personality flaws
Sinistrea is extremely impulsive, and rarely plans anything. Coupled with her demonic immortality, this manifests in exceedingly reckless behaviour, from throwing herself into battle with little regards to her personal safety, to consuming dangerous drugs.
As well, in her never-ending search to sate her demonic desires, she has a penchant for thoughtless cruelty. This does not manifest regularly, and only when her addiction needs to be fed.
Personality Quirks
At times, her chaotic mind can come off as purposeless, where she descends into unorganized ramblings that have little to do with the topic at hand.
Having to switch between her many facades she has created through the years, she can often seemingly switch in mannerisms and speech; from aloof and coarse talk, to more snobbish speech and more graceful gestures.
Hygiene
Sinistrea enjoys an ordinate amount of hygiene.

Religious Views
Much of the indoctrination of the Burning Legion still runs in her mind, in particular the reverence of Sargeras and a hatred for the Void and the Light.
She sees Fel and Shadows in a similar light a paladin might view the Holy Light. Not necessarily sentient, but certainly divine.
Social Aptitude
Although Sinistrea is remarkably good at socializing, she is not terribly fond of it, and will actively shun large social gatherings.
She is very opinionated, however, which has her fall out with quickly with traditionalists and authoritative figures.
Mannerisms
Sinistrea is, altogether, a rather aloof person, who seems comfortable with even the foulest taboos. She is quick to make herself comfortable in situations, and acts as though every room is her home.
In particular, she is rather fond of innuendos and overly sexual metaphors, which does not always get her in the highest graces.
Hobbies & Pets
Sinistrea dislikes pets greatly, and shuns having them. The only beasts she keeps are horses for travel.
For hobbies, she enjoys adventuring, reading, and writing literature.
Speech
Sinistrea will often switch between coarse, commoner's language, and a more noble speech, depending on her emotions.
