Born during a thunderstorm to parents of the Bronze Lineage, Tharuun grew up in libraries in his home in Draconia, learning much about the world, his race's origins, and participated in much of the Draconian military's drills and operations. Though a kinder soul then most, he was a benevolent Dragonborn and took to the taking care of others before himself and making sure that justice, respect, and the law of the land was enforced. He focused more of his time in life learning and sharing his knowledge with others, but he grew increasingly restless over the lack of fresh books in the libraries he loved to read in, often spending large hours of the day reading and writing books of his own, even in his standard issue chain mail his own father wore before him in the military.
He would often look beyond the walls of his home and wonder at the world outside, to someday set out on a journey of exploration, discovery, and revelation, but not before completing his rights to become a cleric of the divines. For a while, many, even him, were confused as to what he would be known for as a cleric, and it would one day come to him during a stormy night of his 20th birthday. Much like how his birth came during a thunderstorm, his second birth as a tempest cleric came when the city fell prey to a siege of orcs wanting to raid and pillage at their leisure. To stop them, he took up arms and armor and faced them with a squad of soldiers sent to the gates to defend their home. Unfortunately his comrades fell and he would be left standing, but in a desperate bit for a final stand, he rose from the ground after taking a nearly fatal wound and emitted a thunderous cry. The clouds fired cataclysmic bolts of lightning at his enemies, his own armor charged with the fury of the storm, and he took a final stand against the remaining orcs at the gates. Strange as it may seem, it was Auril that came to his rescue, one of the deities he had read about but thought would not be one to interfere with mortal lives except during the colder months. By morning, 80 orcs were dead, and only 6 of the 7 draconian knights had fallen.
In his honor, Tharuun was given a library of his own to stock and do with as he wished and was thus ordained as a Tempest Cleric. Since then he has done a lot of traveling, writing novels and collecting books from far and wide, amassing an impressive collection back home, and intends to do so for the rest of his days. His goal is to make it one of the most impressive libraries out there that will also teach well the lessons and knowledge of the world and life itself, to make it a beacon of learning and free thinking, even if what he has done to make this a reality has been risky many times in his life. But he believes in the respect of one another and the respect of the knowledge in the world, that it should be shared and learned and used to improve everyone's lives, even if it could cost him greatly to obtain it. He remains faithful to his patron goddess of winter, Auril, whom he firmly believes is not wholely evil, and wishes to spread her name and bring her name from a place of distain and mistrust. Motivated by two forces, his thirst for knowledge, and his duty to repay Auril for her aid that night, Tharuun travels the world to learn of all possible knowledge so that he may share with the world, and spread the word of Auril to help regain respect and honor to her name.
