• Gisela's whole life has been in service to the Lady of the Graves. She spent 13 years as a field cleric healing the wounded, laying the dead to rest, midwifing, and slaying undead.


• Gisela met Nasir on a campaign together, and they fell in love very quickly. On their third mission together, Gisela brought Nasir back from death in the middle of a fight. He retired after that campaign, and they vowed to start a family when she retired from war, which was three years later.


• Gisela continues to dedicate her life to serving Pharasma in Dulkahm as a priestess.

• Nasir is a retired Bithropian warmage who now teaches the arts of abjuration and countermagic at the Demelza Institute Of Magics.


• He once hunted down and slayed a rogue necromancer in a great duel.


• After his father's death, Nasir spent three years in Savaan to meet his father's found family and share their memories of Othman. He returned with a magical item which his father once stole from a noble. Nasir still has the item to this day, and has never even told his family about it.


• Son of Galina Kotov, who was a Bithropian cavalry scout, and Othman Sahhar, who was the master of abjuration at the Demelza Institute Of Magics. Todd's late grandfather spent most of his early life as a criminal in Savaan, and fled to Phelux to seek higher education. Othman started a family after retiring, and taught Nasir everything he knows about magic and intrigue.

• Followed in his father's footsteps with his magical discipline as an arcanist countermage, but excels in divination magic.


• Tareq is shaping up to be a powerful arcanist, quickly surpassing his father's skill. Archmage Karsit Greydelver has quietly taken Tareq into consideration as a possible future headmaster, and is encouraging him to take over his father's class once he graduates. Nasir is very proud of Tareq.


• Tareq has discovered the magical item his father brought home, but doesn't have the heart to ask his father about it, and decided to let Nasir keep his heirloom secret.
