Special abilities

Shifting is genetically passed down from my mother who is a Wereowl. My family hid it for years, and my own shifting caused them to exile me. When shifting, my fingers harden and grow into talon-like appendages, body hair becomes downy and elongates in spots into feathers, my neck becomes extremely flexible, and my pupils dilate extensively.

Mentality

Personal history

My father had ideas that I could carry on his profession. My brother joined the logging crew in order to get in good with our wood supply, and our sister learned to take over the maintenance of the household as well as maintain contacts from outside for business. The usual argument about taking up father’s work and my own ideas of being something more boiled over and got into a fight with Bjorn. During the event I shifted unknowingly to overtake my brother. I nearly killed my brother and my father told me to leave immediately. Upset and irritated, I grabbed the things I knew I’d need to hack it out in the woods and left. I’d pick fights constantly and loved competing against others. As the years went by, I’d be inspired by armed guards and even a knight occasionally that would come through to work harder and fight better. My family grew annoyed with my rambunctiousness and would routinely steer me back to the family business. However, any allowance I had would go towards my martial aspirations, and so I came across gear appropriate for my hobby.

Motivation

Having been exiled, immediate goals, stop camping out in the woods. Long term goals, become a hero. Medium term goals, we’ll get to that when we get there. If Wincen was to encounter a dangourous situation and no one was around he might take action. If someone else is around to witness it, he might question whether he’s capable or if it would help anything. Not necessarily a leap to action kind of guy.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Wincen believes people can be saved, but wrongdoing must be punished in some manner. Monsters and villains might be a different story, as Wincen has the chance to go overboard and commit his own manner of wrongs.

Likes & Dislikes

Wincen idolizes “heroes” and hopes to one day become one.

Wincen dislikes mushrooms, poultry, and cowards.

Wincen fears that he might go too far in situations.

Wincen has exceptional stage fright and can’t handle being the center of attention.

Wincen is emotionally fragile. He tends to mentally withdraw and not talk to anyone if he bombs a social situation.

Wincen has low self-esteem. He has low opinions of his self-worth but tries to put on a show with bravado.

Personality Quirks

Abrasive. Not always nice in social situations. No tact.

Ashamed: Feels he needs to hide himself to prevent people from thinking he’s odd or dangerous.

Detached. Tends to stay back from situations, preferring to see the whole picture. Hard to trust.

Distinctive. Wears a strange owl mask to cover up the fact that he has Owl-like features. Stands out in crowds and groups because of strange mannerisms.

Focused. Hard to distract. Can miss things by being too focused on other things.

Honesty. Lying is difficult for me. Honesty is the best policy.

Rufus Gamble and Velvet Gamble. Rufus Gamble is an accomplished woodworker, creating works of art from the leftovers of the local logging industry. The sale of his goods has gone well, with wealthy traders from the Capital Malgos paying high amounts for his creations. Velvet was a lovely and caring woman who fell ill and suffered from illusionary terrors after her children had been born. One morning the Gamble family simply woke up and she was gone. A search never turned up where she had been spirited to. Wincen is the youngest of 3, with older sister Lyndis Gamble , and middle brother Bjorn Gamble. The Gamble Family lives well and owns a large house with workshop. My Sister still likes me. My Father still likes me. My mother no longer cares about me. My Brother still likes me. Apparently, my mother is alive and quite successful? Her occupation is Criminal.


 
I know my Family, and most of the people of Moffet. I know a Kithree "Kith" Barleywind (Artisan/Guild Member) from Malgos and a prominent Sir Adrien Silverheart (Actually a Politician or Bueaucrat). I’m familiar with some aspects of Malgos, and have travelled there a couple times, but have no friends there.
