Farendor of Barenka was a minor noble, he inherited 133 acres of land with a small castle and a smaller keep from his father, who relieved it as bounty for killing a great dragon. Farendor married, and had two childeren, though his wife died in childbirth of the second. The first child, the heir, was named Terrendor of Barenka. The second child was named Garendor of Barenka. Five years after the death of his first wife, Farendor married and had a child with an Elvan woman, Arendaria. That child was named Parendor the second of Barenka.
Uppon the 30th birthday of Terrendor, Farendor retired to life without responsibility, and left his lands to Terrendor. The 29 year old Garendor was left as head of the Barenken military occupying the keep. The youngest son, recieved a greater magical blade of Ice named Ber which was found in the great dragon's horde.
Parendor started learning the arts of the Wizard at the age of 16, and continued his studies with a skilled court wizard of a neighboring castle. At age 30, Parendor left his home on good terms with his siblings, and joined an adventurers guild, the Order of Moleva. The guild is dedicated to Law, Order, Killing monsters, and raiding dungeons. Parendor adventured with this order for many years becoming a fairly powerful Wizard in the process.
Parendor had just one problem, his prize of inheritance was a sentient weapon who craved chaos, and despised Parendor. They fought each-other at every step, even becoming a hindrance to their questing. After one point, the blade distracted Parendor at an important moment, nearly killing his Paladin ally Barron Moleva. Parendor then decided to make it his goal to cleanse his blade of this disruptive intelligence.
After 2 years of adventuring, Parendor found a ritual to "fix" his blade. Parendor, with the now lame Barron, cast the spell, and it was mostly successful. Ber was driven from the blade, but at the price of Parendor's mind. His mind was broken, and he was then unable to concentrate on his spells. He spent a decade trying to fix himself, traveling to some of the greatest healers around. Parendor did find someone to return Barron to power, but was unable to fix his mind. He finally gave up.
With the last of his resources Parendor started training under his friend Barron to become a paladin of the Order of Moleva. Soon after Parendor finished his early training and was a paladin in his own right. Parendor recently witnessed Barron talking to an elven girl. Before disappearing a few hours later. Parendor is now looking to journeying on his own to make a new name for himself, and then to continue adventuring with Barron when they are on equal footing again.
