Personal history
Hatched in the midst of tribal war, she was born knowing she would proudly serve her people as a soldier, just like her matron taught her. She was the largest of her brood, and very proud of it, but often got distracted with a busy mind and a gentle heart when placed through training exercises and drills. She spent the majority of her time tinkering with her lasers, rather than firing them. This meant she spent much of her time isolated from her peers, either ignored or reprimanded by her caregivers for her lack of interest in defending the tribe or killing their rivals. But she came to enjoy the solitude, the quiet.
And then she came of age, and the visions started. Strangely realistic dreams, at first, but they grew progressively clearer, coming when she was waking. Experienced in the upbringing of their people, her matron, Ix'krin, was able to identify the dangers the budding psychic posed, and sent for her to be taken off-world.
Her new brood-mates were very strange. Many of them had smooth skin, and no wings. And they were very small. Moreso than her clutch-mates. But they made fun sounds, and they even encouraged her indulgence in studying k'aarak engineering. She graduated well - not the top of her class, having started her life with war in mind - but with enough respectability to be sent to a mining station for immediate work.
Employment
Ix'kaali has just started her first official job as an engineer aboard the Parable Station and is excited to begin earning credits.
