Impassive bounty hunter. He holds little regard for life, often times unfazed by the deaths of others; however, he's maintained loose ties with a handful of thugs he used to run with. If crossed, he can be vindictive.

Years slipped through his fingers. He fell in and out of love. He traveled, visiting neighboring systems. What money he made typically went towards stimulants, endless hands of blackjack, ammunition, and weapon upgrades. While his life had become structured and stable, he grew more complacent.
In an attempt to break free from the monotony, he hesitantly accepted a high profile job as of late and promptly found himself aboard a ship destined for the Festrus System.
Appearance
Physical Description
Vince's shorter stature harbors an athletic build overall. His waist is notably small, tapering in further than his hips at its narrowest point. Because of his tendency to get into brawls, his shoulders, legs, and overall cardio health have grown stronger over the years; however, he's made sure to remedy that pesky advantage with a hearty carton of cigarettes every day. (:
Body Features
Vince has an average amount of body hair, all of which are a similar shade to the coarse hair atop his head. His knuckles are riddled with blatant scarring.
Facial Features
Vince has what others like to call 'dainty' features; his eyes are angled just so, enough to resemble a cat, and his dark lashes draw immediate attention to the chocolate tone of his pupils.
His nose was once slender and straight, but has been broken so many times he's lost count. It's quite offset, the right nostril having been permanently flared upward as a result.
His thick pout has also been marred in combat. A vertical split on the left side even bites into his mustache.
Years of smoking and avid coffee drinking has stained his teeth a pale yellow. He hasn't a full set anymore-- some have been replaced by silver-- but he isn't too keen on dental work since he still insists on trading blows with those that piss him off. A lost cause, really.
Identifying Characteristics
His nose, left cheekbone, and lips are all scarred from the outstanding amount of fights he's gotten into throughout his lifetime. Additionally, he has two prominent scars beneath his chest that are rarely seen. A brown-inked snake tattoo adorns the inner side of his right forearm.
Physical quirks
His southern draw is raspy and mid-pitched. He can sing, but wouldn't be caught dead voicing a melody in front of an audience of any kind.
He compulsively cracks his neck.
Apparel & Accessories
He's fond of dusters, ponchos, and anything that can help conceal his identity in a pinch. He prefers to wear a hat, no matter the ensemble.
A fish hook dangles from his left ear.
In most cases, his favorite colors seem to be burnt orange, scarlet, and various tones of brown.
Special abilities
Sharp perception. Reliable vision. Crackshot.
His reaction time is, for the lack of better word, ridiculous. Unrelenting paranoia might influence this near-inhuman reflex speed.
Mentality
Personal history
Vince was born on Zeta's Rift, first and only child to Gregory and Sarah Dalton. The small family owned a fair amount of land along what most called the Dry Strip-- a wide, spanning area of desert and untamed wilderness-- where they made ends meet through farming and selling animal hides. Most of their goods were shipped off to the city of Atla'eno, the heart of Zeta's Rift, but the Daltons were content with supplementing the local market.
Vince helped around the homestead, dealing primarily with the hunting of small game; however, his parents expected him to lend a hand when it came to be the harvest season. While he didn't often complain about the seemingly endless chores, he did butt heads with his parents on the daily. Eventually, the wedge between them grew to be irreparable; he ultimately packed his things and ran off at a mere 16 years old.
Unfortunately, he wasn't taken seriously in Atla'eno. In order to keep his head above water, he resorted to pickpocketing and investing those accrued credits in the gambling scene. Sometimes, he turned pilfered coin into twice of what he started; however, it was chiefly hit or miss-- nothing in between.
Whilst rubbing elbows with the seediest of characters that inhabited the dive bars across the city, it was only a matter of time before he was lured in by the glamorous lifestyle of bounty hunting.
A handful of targets fell by his hand, yet it was a freak accident that posed the highest threat: he unintentionally killed a rogue trader connected to Ayvia Corviss, an esteemed Merchant Prince. Because he offed one of her close contacts, Corviss felt revenge was a luxury she could certainly afford.
In stark contrast to a miffed merchant prince, Vince met plenty of agreeable folk on his travels, one of which, an Elizabeth Nightly, he grew enamored with in his mid-twenties. After a few months of dating, Eliza realized her interests lied solely in women, so the two of them parted ways.
He abruptly opted to change his name legally, perhaps out of embarrassment, but also found this point in time an appropriate opportunity to reinvent himself-- considering Corviss was hot on his trail. No longer a Dalton, Vince departed from Zeta's Rift entirely and set out to score bigger and better bounties elsewhere as a new man.
Education
Vince is primarily street-smart and relies on what survival knowledge he's garnered throughout his lifetime. His reading skill is rudimentary, at best, and he has a difficult time with numbers.
Despite not having taken part in any formal education, he's well-versed in rifles and sidearms. In addition, he knows how to play a broad array of card games-- and play them well.
Employment
Vince sold venison and pelts for quite some time before progressing to bounty hunting.
He also makes extra coin through gambling, but he never considers it a reliable source of income.
Accomplishments & Achievements
He's quite proud of his mustache.
Failures & Embarrassments
His first and only relationship ended in the both of them awkwardly parting ways. He hasn't tried again since and has no plans on pursuing romance any time soon.
Mental Trauma
His kill count isn't remarkably high, but he's aware of the damage he's caused. While it doesn't keep him up at night, it's almost as if a little piece of him dies with each of his victims.
He has a mild case of toxic masculinity, likely attributed to his short stature and effeminate facial features.
Lastly, Zeta's Rift fell victim to imperial cleansing. It no longer exists, having been disposed of entirely, and Vince actively struggles to suppress the nagging sensation of guilt and sorrow any time he recalls his years there.
Intellectual Characteristics
Vince has a vast knowledge of all things survival. He's worked as a farm hand, hunted and prepared his own food, and endured many a night in the open wilderness of Zeta's Rift.
His sharp gaze tends to catch movements that most folk overlook.
Morality & Philosophy
✗ "Eye for an eye."
Vince can hold a grudge. If someone wrongs him, it's nigh impossible for him to turn the other cheek. Karma doesn't always pull through when it comes to his enemies, so he frequently takes matters into his own hands.

Quotes & Catchphrases
✗ "Shoot me again, I ain't dead yet!"
✗ "Oh sure, if y'wanna do it the easy way."
✗ "If you're gonna be dumb, y'better be tough."
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Exceptional marksmanship. He knows how to skin most small to mid-sized creatures, prepare shelter in a pinch, and track proper game. His poker face isn't too bad, either.
Awful with women. Awful with men.
In all honesty, he doesn't play nice with others. The only exception is if credits are involved; only then can he manage reasonable cooperation.
Likes & Dislikes
Vince likes isolation. He typically works best alone and welcomes the silence that accompanies it. He also enjoys cigarettes-- they calm his nerves, which can be a godsend considering his vocation.
He doesn't much care for itineraries. If he feels rushed, he quickly grows irritable.
Virtues & Personality perks
He may seem heartless, but he's unable to physically harm children; however, if one talks back to him, he isn't above returning the favor.
Vices & Personality flaws
Gambling is his Achilles' Heel.
He has a difficult time asking for help. In most circumstances, he avoids it at all costs; however, if desperate, he may accept a trusted hand. Whether or not he's capable of trusting someone has yet to be determined.
He's been known to have sticky fingers. On occasion, if the job is too risky or he feels that it's not worth the effort, he might abandon the assignment even if partial payment was made. It's their fault for relying on him, anyway.
Personality Quirks
He bites his nails.
Hygiene
His teeth are yellowed from coffee and he's missing a couple due to his ever-persistent craving of knuckle sandwiches.
His hair is akin to straw. He doesn't usually opt for conditioner or even proper shampoo, but he makes sure to rinse it every now and again. Same goes for his body. He smells of potent smoke.
If asked, he likely couldn't tell you when he had last washed his hands. His fingernails and their edges are riddled with grease, dirt, or soot.
