Amber was the first to be Knighted by Empress Rhelvesi after her crowning and has been tasked with leading the Montero branch of the Starling Guild of Montero. She has a reputation for being strict and unforgiving to new recruits but also unorthodox for a knight. She comes from a low-born background and does not follow the rules of higher society. She was formally Montero's captain of the guard.
