Appearance

Physical Description

Though it's difficult to see through her copious amounts of fur, she is an epitome of low mass fitness, hard as a rock and thin as a wire. her lower body has a fair amount of muscular bulk to it, giving a distinct hourglass shape if she's wearing anything that hugs to her body.

Body Features

Violet is covered in extremely plentiful scars that bear the marks of her rough past. though many of them are difficult to see past the fur, if one were to look close enough, she would be a sight many warriors would be proud of.

Facial Features

Violet has a rather soft face for a Tabaxi, taking more after the looks of a house cat than a wildcat, a trait she inherited from her mother. Though her green eyes are undoubtedly her father's. her ears stand between 5 and 6 inches tall. her facial fur is a burnt, brick red that's dotted with specks of a cream color, the same that adorns her chest fur.

Identifying Characteristics

Though her distinguishing marks are not typically visible to the average observer, her eyes are very distinct. Though it must be said that with the amount of fame she has, it's reasonable to assume that she, herself, is an identifying feature; as she is, herself, a very distinct looking person.

Physical quirks

Though she tries her best to keep it under control, she is a very twitchy person. especially after the events that took place in the Arena. she only truly feels comfortable when there's a weapon within reach. when she's intensely focused on something, she often unconsciously bites the tip of her tongue.

Apparel & Accessories

Violet prefers to wear simple clothing, perhaps because it's more comfortable, perhaps it's just her roots as a warrior monk coming out. but either way, flashy is not a way she'd like to be described. though she does wear a fair bit of jewelry, she never wears gold. she has five ear piercings, three on the right, two on the left.

Every so often, Purple arcs of electricity come off of Violet's fur due to her unique bloodline and powers.

Mentality

Personal history

Violet Lightning of the Anchored Rain grew up in a monastery near the Tower of Belles. Raised by her father after her mother died in childbirth, she grew up disciplined by the ways of the monks, learning martial arts in a quest for physical and mental enlightenment. Her father, Furious Bear taught her what he could, and tried his absolute hardest to be the best father he could.
Though she was never the most ruly child, she rarely complained, and nobody could say her life wasn’t good. She had a caring father, an extended family of monks who cared about her. She was happy. She enjoyed her life there, training and studying. She never was the brightest, but she had a good memory, it made for good form in the martial arts, at which she excelled for her age.
 
at age 11, things changed, she was out gathering plants as part of her herbalism training when she was tranquilized by a blowgun and taken to be sold into slavery. she made some friends with some fellow slaves, and spent her time learning how to pick locks with a bent piece of metal one of the guards dropped. eventually she thought it was time. she broke everybody out of their cages, and they scattered. unfortunately the guards were quick on their feet. Violet was the only one who made it out.
 
She wandered the woods for days, not really knowing how to survive on her own yet. after a whole four days of starvation, nearly frozen to death from the mountain winds, she was found. she wandered into a hunter's territory and the hunter ran back to get his companions. a band of notorious highwaymen known as The Turtles.
 
She was taken in by them and trained in the way bandits do things. the leader of the band took Violet under his wing as something akin to a daughter, this is where she spent her entire teenage life. learning how to be a violent criminal, killing and robbing people and caravans that come down the road to make enough to survive. she was 19 when it all fell apart, her band picked a target that they couldn't have known hired The Gold Shield Paladin as a guard. He decimated our numbers, and impaled Violet.
 
Violet came to on the back of the moving cart, next to The Gold Shield and was offered a deal, join up to help defend this merchant until further notice, or be left to fend for herself with a near fatal wound in the middle of nowhere. the choice wasn't much of one, so she joined up to defend the merchant.
 
after a year of defending the merchant, she managed to escape after a shipment to ferrus. she attempted to find employment as a barmaid, and a shiphand, neither of which worked out because of her short temper and, vulnerability to motion sickness, and unfamiliarity with boats. she quickly fell into gambling and accrued a debt large enough that she was taken into indentured servitude by the Syndicate of Xan.
 
after a few months of menial labour, she was pulled aside and given testing to see if she made the cut to be a member of Ricky Dart's crew. she passed with flying colours, and so began her journey forward as part of the syndicate of Xan.

Employment

Violet's employment history is far from stellar, from bandit to caravan guard for a year, having run away from that job in a literal sense, She found a job in Ferrus as a barmaid, though she was groped by a drunkard one too many times and nearly killed the man with a punch. After, a ship hired her on as help on a fishing trip, but a mix of not knowing what to do on a ship, and being constantly seasick didn't leave a good impression.
After she turned to gambling and was taken into servitude, she finally found a steady source of employment in the syndicate, and now owns the Lucky Cat's Barthel. She also had a single match in the arena that brought her fame city wide as The Hero of Ferrus.
