Personal history

Zedryn L. Gundry was third born in a Hylian family on a ranch community (Gundry Ranch) on the outside of the capital. The youngest son, Zed was fiercely protective of his older sister Lona Z. Gundry, as was their older brother Zaylen L. Gundry.
 
When Gannondorf first rose to power and realized 'princess' Zelda was not in fact 'THE' Zelda, the two knew they had to smuggle their sister to the rumored Sheikah which were helping hide blond haired, blue eyed, pointy eared girls before Ganondorf could send his snatchers after them.
 
As one of the closest settlements outside the capital, they had to act fast, and the three slipped away in the dead of night.
 
However, the trio underestimated the ferocity of Ganondorfs minions, and how widespread they already were. As such, they were wholely unprepared for an attack at night and were cornered by a pack not far into their third day of travel.
 
Zaylen tried to hold them off with a stolen longsword, but ultimately, he was just a ranchers son and urged the two to escape, as the meeting point where the Sheikah were waiting was only half a day away.
 
However, along the way, Lona was hit with an arrow and fatally wounded. Zed tried his best to treat the wound, and took her to the Sheikah, but when he arrived, they admitted there was nothing more they could do for her.
 
He begged them to train him so he could prevent this from happening again to other girls, and they agreed, so long as he used the training he received to help more girls get away from Ganondorfs tyranny.
 
The decision was an easy one, and for the next decade he was forced under their wing, bending but never buckling as he trained to fight off ganon's minions and protect the Zelda's of the world as he led them to the Sheikah.
 
Along the way, they discovered he had a talent for magic, and integrated that into his training, often times using it to strengthen his blade, or increase what he could hit with it.
 
Eventually, dreams of a legendary hero drove him to wander further from the Sheikah, and try to discover who this 'Link' character really was.

Accomplishments & Achievements

He has become somewhat of a pest against ganondorfs 'snatchers' often ferretting a potential 'zelda' away right under their noses more than once.

Failures & Embarrassments

Running from his brother when he was outnumbered/dying, failing to protect his sister.

Mental Trauma

He never got over his sisters death. If he sees a comrade about to go down, he will likely pull out all the stops to try and save them, regardless of potential consequences.

Intellectual Characteristics

Combat magic is his forte, he enjoys anything that mixes magic and battle, even if it's the occasional healing spell.

Morality & Philosophy

Zed is very much Chaotic good. if he feels it will accomplish something his morals resonate with, he will gladly break every law against it, and do questionable things to see it done.
