Zanthros, in his former life, was a studious researcher, content passing time with his face buried in a voluminous tome.

His life was disrupted when he overheard:
 
... some leaders of the Cerberus Assembly, specifically "Martinet Ludinus Da’leth, Archmage of Domestic Protections", a male elf, discussing using necromancy to build an undead army to fight for the empire and eventually destroy Xorhas and the Kryn Dynasty (and maybe even turn it on the empire) ...
 
He fled post haste after grabbing a letter that implicated the Martinet in this dastardly plot.
